I visited Amritsar on the 1st of December 2013 with family to go to the Golden Temple. The Hotel is located in within the walled old city and all attractions are within walkable distance. Both Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh are about 5 to 7 minutes walking distance.
The hotel staff are very helpful. Abishek, Sonal, Arti as well as their colleagues at the front office and reservations and restaurant are very cheerful and helpful. You will get all guidance for the local sightseeing as well as shopping from them. All of them are young but very cheerful and caring. In fact i needed to consult a doctor due to cold and they did help up immediately. All help for shopping was also given. The trip to Wagah Border was also arranged by them.
The rooms are well maintained and the hotel is also a new property. The outside view will be better from the front facing rooms. The executive suite is reasonably large and convenient for three people to stay. The food at the restaurant was very good but the quantity is too huge. So take care before you order. If you want to try out the local dabba food Bharvan Dabba is walking distance and the food is nice. Kesar dabba it a bit away and you will need to go through all by lanes. But if you take less ghee, beware, they will serve you a years quantity in two days generally in Amritsar. So please keep telling them that you want very less ghee if you want to avoid consolidated fat accumulation.
In short a great stay. Will certainly recommend to you for a family stay at Amritsar. Thank you Team Ramada Amritsar.
