“Wonderful Hindu temple”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

My favourite Hindu temple. It seems to have started off smaller, and new bits have been added on like a gothic castle so it now overhangs the street below. When you go it, go up the stairs on the left and follow the route. Great fun!
The people there are friendly too, and the fairground atmosphere doesn't detract from the spiriuality.

“A wonderful surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

We didnt plan to go here, but stumbled upon the temple and decided toventure inside. It turned out to be a good 30 minutes of travelling zigzag through all the various gods and goddesses of the country. A great place, kind of like a maze where you are waiting fo rth enext turn to see which god is next.

“Mata Temple”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

great Hindu temple (one of the best in my 4 months in India. Incredible glass and mirror mosaics, dioramas, and nice idols of most of important HIndu gods are surrounded by wonderful mosaics like on walls. Fascinating circuit through tunnel, water, in out and around. Not to be missed.

“Can't be called a Mandir in first place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Not sure why it is called a Mandir. We understand that it has been built like a mandir with all the idols of all hindu gods present at the place, however the main idol being prayed there is of a lady who is being treated like a Goddess for some reason which the main pujari failed to make us understand.

We repeatedly asked the pujari's present there as to why this lady is being worshiped. No one was able to give us a reason to worship a normal human being.

Something extremely good or worth a visit at this place, was a very close replica of Mata Vaishno Devi. The replica that they have tried to create isn't an exact match, however a very very close one to the Mata Vaishno Devi's shrine, infact it is the closed that I have seen anywhere in India.

Hence, if you wish to see a real replica of Mata Vaishno Devi yatra or shrine, then it is worth a visit, apart from that, nothing special around there.
