Our experience to this place was very bad. The ceremony and facilities really are not worth the time and effort involved.
We went in the first week of April. The heat was unbearable. There is no shelter there to provide shade to the tourists. The amount of people in the 'general' category makes it really difficult to really see anything.
And importantly the ceremony itself is very dull, really nothing great to write about. Plus it it too jingoistic. Both sides are made to unnecessarily and repeatedly shout national slogans. This really leaves a bad taste.
