“Great Place & service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2008

The hotel is located nicely with great views and the service provided is awesome. It was magnificent and we had never experienced such incredible service before. It was so lovely that it was tough to go out, as the beauty was within the premises.
We played the indoor games, enjoyed the lovely food by the chef. The view of Megmaliga room, spacious room, the clouds coming straight in the room, the walk through path to the room & so on gives a great feeling and is really a great experience.
Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel we stayed on our holiday to Kerala!

We had been to Munnar, for our honeymoon. Hospitality is not at all good. Food is ok. They don't even know to serve water, when we have our food in there. You will have to ask them, for every damn thing, even the finger bowls after you eat.

Only one thing, I appreciate is the scenic beauty, from the balcony, that too, only from the top rooms. I had spent Rs.12,000 for 2nights and 3days package, but it was not at all worth.

Its better to choose another option, if you want to have more satisfaction for the amount you have spent.

  • Liked — Nothing, except the scenic view from the balcony
  • Disliked — Hospitality, the management staff and especially, servers too slow.

We stayed in blackberry hills for 3 nights for our honeymoon and we really had a good experience. On the first day after checkin we were very dissappointed after seeing our room(601,602,603) since it was fully surrounded by trees ,there was no great view....but we were happy since staff offered us really good room with good view very next day(401).But then choice of rooms varies from person to person some ppl might prefer those rooms surrounded by tress. Resort is located at really good location.....main problem is you need to walk down to reach your room......even though it is exhausting ....I really enjoyed it. We also liked the food at blackberry resort .Service at the hotel is really good .I would recommend this hotel specially for honeymoon couples.

Although our experience with this hotel took place about 1.5 years back, I felt it necessary to share my experience after reading the other reviews. We stayed at the resort for 4 days on our honeymoon and it was a great experience . The staff were excellent, both at the reception & housekeeping and the hotel provides excellent, quick and efficient room service in spite of he steep walk down to the rooms and in spite of the rains (They never once refused room service even if it was raining- the cottages are at a distance from the restaurant). Munnar is Beautiful in the rains and I recommend everyone reading this to experience it at least once in their lifetime. The food at the resort was really good and at competitive rates too. We were booked in a deluxe room which has a small dining area, living room, balcony and bedroom, an excellent set up. We could view the entire valley from the balcony and it was a beautiful experience with the fog and the mist coming and going especially early in the morning. The only negative is that it is at a distance from the town centre but then thts wht views are all about!

We stayed in this hotel looking at picture found on website. When arrived found that rooms were located way down from receiption (all the rooms) which means you have to walk down a very steep road making you tired every time you come up and down. Rooms were ok and had smell of moisture too much. Food was also not served in the room and it was required to climb every time up and down.

Frankly we would not recommend this hotel for the sheer fact that this hotel is build with very bad taste making guests climb steep walks and not so neat rooms. Not to mention that the food was also not good.

We stayed in the Standard Room as the only differece between the Luxury and Deluxe rooms were a mini bar and a larger living area. It rained and was foggy when we were there so I cant comment on the view but I am sure it would have been spectacular if it was a clear day. A short drive from Munnar town although this is nothing special. Food is
very good at the hotel and also with good prices.
