“A stay inside the nature”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

Munnar was our first stop in the Kerala trip. The cottage was an immediate hit as soon we checked in, on a damp afternoon. The decor, amenities and above all the balcony was simply superb. The walkways inside the resort are great. Food quality needs to be improved. Only negative was the lack of initiative by the staff for the inhouse activities of campfire (blame it on rainy evening) and the nature walk which noone cared for inspite of repeated reminders. Overall good experience.

Room Tip: All the cottages have balcony opening to Cardamom plantation... amidst the beauty of nature.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for choosing The Tall Trees Munnar for your holiday and reviewing us.

The campfire and other inhouse activities was not conducted during your stay only because it was raining , But we will make sure that activities except campfire such as plantation tour , nature walk etc is there as per the schedule even if its rain also as it is a different experience during the monsoon .

Look forward to host you again and assure you of our best services and attention at all times.

Best Regards

I reached the Tall Trees during the monsoon season. Because there were many rooms available, I was assigned a cottage of a higher range of what I had asked for at the same rate: a spacious bedroom, a living room two bathrooms, two balconies... . even too much for me, I was travelling solo. The cottages are scattered along paths sourrended by a lush forest. The place is very quite, perfect to relax and enjoy the nature's sounds. Families will enjoy the play room and the playground. The staff, always nice and helpful, organise trips to variuos destinations and short walk in the forest. Breakfast is reach and vary with Indian and continental. Restaurant served mostly good Indian food for dinner. I also enjoyed the Ayurvedic massage, done with care and competence.

When we booked our trip I was pleased to read the reviews about this hotel BUT we arrived during a very heavy monsoon storm so it was not the best of starts. The reception staff were the rudest during our whole month trip of India!!!We were in bungalow 305 and next door the beds had not been set up as twins so we had to share !!The room felt cold and damp and we had a resident leech in the bathroom. We needed a early start in the morning and breakfast was nt ready when we went to the restaurant.I would suggest to the owners to change the management and retrain the receptionist.Very disappointed
