Another one of our favorites, Dr Simon who owns and runs the estate is a charming and helpful host. We stayed in one We stayed in Cardamon Cottage and it had every facility, fridge, great shower and a balcony with a view over the plantation. There may be no booze licence but you can bring your own in and we got a complimentory G&T delivered to the door on our 1st night and free Gin & Lime soda & barbeque nibbles on the 2nd night. The food is amazing and very fresh, a glass of wine would have been nice but its absence didn't detract from the meals. There may be no gym (you are on holiday) but there are wonderful walks through the plantations and we did manage to see a pair of rare giant squirrels. We'd also recommend the laundry service, we had 20 items washed & ironed for under £5. We would recommend visiting the Tea Museum which is a lot better than it sounds, also go to the Srishti Centre which is a workshop for disabled youngsters where they make amazing naturally dyed material, you can go see the process and buy great stuff at good prices and do some good at the same time.
