“Memorable Experience!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The warm welcome we received followed by Ginger Tea in the chilly weather was the best! We had room facing the Bison valley which portrayed the real beauty of nature.Neat rooms with such art made my day.The staff was extremely courteous and helpful and made sure that all our needs are met. The manager guided us regarding the places to visit in Munnar. Personalized service offered by them made us feel pampered. Food was delicious and we had authentic Kerala style platter. However more variety in snacks is needed. We also tried the spa services which were relaxing. The two days in Munnar were memorable for us. We had a comfortable stay and will definitely visit again.

The hotel rooms were lovely - fabulous views. The reception area is rather an odd empty space. Strange to have to walk so far down the hill to the coffee shop but worth it once you got there. Staff were unbelievably helpful - sometimes rather overwhelming by continually asking for feedback. I loved the pool, and the yoga room was lovely.

I wish we stayed here longer. Two nights are not enough to enjoy the serenity and the hospitality of this place. It has been a unique experience. Will come back next year. The food, the service, the view, the landscaping, the swimming pool, everything unmatchable. Dhanesh is great- Jay Shah

Following a 2-week tour of Rajasthan and Varanasi, we are visiting Kerala for the final few days of our trip. We stayed in amazing palace hotels in Rajasthan, however the quality of the cuisine at Spice Tree was at least comparable to that in these luxury hotels. The room was also very nicely appointed and the staff, without exception, were delightful.

Exceptional value for money and highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights as part of our tour of South India. The reception area is a bit unassuming but any anxieties we had were quelled by the room which was simply lovely. Floor to ceiling windows with views of the valley, hardwood teak floors and the biggest jacuzzi in the massive bathroom.
The biggest asset of the property though is the staff who go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. We went on the morning walk with Shijo who was brilliant ! It is a reasonably energetic 2.5 hour slog up and down the mountain but easily the best thing we did there. The cooking class was excellent and so was the tea tasting. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Spice Tree in November just for a day, with 5 of our friends. The management upgraded us to the Pool Vila which is by far one of the Best Rooms, I have ever stayed in my life. Right from the moment you check in, the staff at Spice Tree is amazing.
This property is VALUE for MONEY, I have never seen such an effective and communicative staff. They make you feel so comfortable by there warmth and hospitable nature.

We got a welcome drink on our arrival which was really great as it almost entirely cured the headache my wife had been having due to our travel through the mountains.
The Private Pool Villa at Spice Tree is like ice cream, or chocolate. You just find it hard to say no to it. You enjoy the experience without any regrets. You make the most out of it. You just forget everything else and have a great time. You want it to be a part of you. The reason you need it for yourself is that you just can't say no. Well, you are choosing luxury, why not take it up a notch and make the most out of it, right ? Complete with a pool, a private deck,a living room, a master bed room, a large bath room with a Victorian copper bath tub and a small dining area makes your stay in the pool villa at spice tree a unique experience.
As we entered, we found a lovely decoration on the bed and in the room with flowers, heart shaped balloons and other things. The bed is lovely and absolutely relaxing. There is a front porch with a sliding glass door between you on the bed and the porch and the lawn in front of it.
Awesome Awesome Staff: The staff at Spice Tree is really great. And I mean, really really good. For me, it is the staff that makes or breaks a hotel and in that respect, Spice Tree comes out at the top. All guides for the sight seeing to the Dolmens and the Arangiyal Tea Plantation are fantastic. Do visit the Arangiyal Tea Plantation, the route to the plantation itself is so mesmerizing that you will fall in love with Kerala. Everytime, the guys would bring us food to our room, there would always be a smile on their faces, a smile that would lift your spirits immediately.
The second and equally amazing stuff they have is the Food. The food at the hotel is really a treat. Some of the things you should definitely try are - Fresh Pineapple Juice, Aloo Capsicum, Masala Dosa, Khumbh Mutter Masala. Great work by the chef.
Arguably it was one of my best picturesque and a fantastic sightings holiday. Spice Tree to me was a thriving natural destination, attention to all the Nature enthusiasts, who are willing to lap it up with Nature, the serenity and loads of flora and fauna, head straight to this exotic resort.

Room Tip: Please go for the Pool Hut since when you are spending so much why not a little more and get the mos...
