Stayed here for 2 nights, one full day.
Journey from kotchi to Spice Tree was 5 hours. A very long trip. Be warned some areas of the roads are rough. And can take its toll. And to find toilet stops are rare.
The resort itself is amazing. They only have a limited amount of rooms to provide, but this is what makes it a good place. More attention to guests and no effect on quality to service. We arrived end of January, at the time only 4 rooms occupied. Weather was good. About 15 degree in the night and about 19 in the day. Can be cold at night if it is windy. Which happens often.
Staff are very attentive and helpful + kind. Can not be faulted. More then 2 nights are needed. I would say 3 full days. There are activities available from reception. We took a hike down the hill and back. Not too difficult. Can take a rickshaw back up, as its steep. Also took a trip into tea plantations and nearby river. Very beautiful and lots of photo opportunities.
Food is a good range. If the resort is quiet then some foods will be not be available, as its costly for them to keep everything. But with even with 4 rooms being occupied there are many options for food, specially for vegiterians. They cater for all.
Rooms are amazing. Ours had an amazing view, jacuzzi, and large bed and room. Thoroughly enjoyed the spotless clean rooms. My wife had a massage with a female staff and she likely it a lot. In terms of rupee to pound sterling, it isn't too pricey, just right.
Some people mentioned the road to the resort. This was 90 percent complete when we were there. So should be done by now.
All in all an amazing place. January is the best time to visit in my opinion. One of the best places I have stayed in the world.
