“Want to know about Munnar Tea???”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

If you want to know about the history of Munnar Tea plantation and how the tea leaves are processed you can visit this place. They charge you a fee of 75 Ruppes per head for the complete tour which would take you around 2 hours to complete. You can also get factory priced tea powder and leaves and a free tea sample at the end of the tour.

“Tea Factory”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2014

There is lot of fascination associated with Chocolate Museum etc (which most of us global travellers might have visited). But this Tea museum will take us to a different world altogether.Very pristine and original. Walk trough the museum and go through the video/movie session.

“interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2014

Equivalent of 75p entrance fee. There is a 30min video about how Munnar became an important tea plantation are. It is the history of the plantation to the present day. It is well worth watching. Apart from a couple of rooms with some old machinery there is a single line of tea processing machinery which is working. You are talked and shown the process all the way through from the leaves being picked to the end result that is packaged. There is the usual shop where you can buy tea and spices and you are given a free cup of tea to end your experience. It was a quick way to learn about tea plantations and processing.
I have visited many tea plantations in Assam / Doars and they are much more informative and in depth but this was enough to give the visitor a
