This hotel was chosen for us by our travel agent, Kerala Greenery, when wife and I visited Kerala as part of our India visit in December, 2011. Our schedule had to be rearranged because of political tensions over water between Kerala and Tamil Nadu!!! Anyway, the hotel accommodated our change request and provided us with an upgraded room at the same cost. That was good. The restaurant in the hotel was good, but a little bit pricey. The food there was okay, nothing spectacular. I like more hole in the all restaurants, and we went to those kind for lunch. The hotel also had a dorm for our chauffeur driving the rental car.
The rooms were clean and the upgraded rooms had a nice view of the surrounding hills. It is also located at a convenient location. We walked to the Tea Museum and local stores. Sometimes taking a car out in India for short trips can be a hassle considering the traffic.
I like it and can recommend it.
Try to get the rooms with windows facing the hills with the tea plantations.
