Misty Mountain Resort is not a Resort - its a Hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay around Munnar which has the following properties - then Misty Mountain is your choice -
1. Away from the Munnar Town traffic, congestion
2. Couple / Family friendly
3. Offers best views of the Tea Gardens
4. Situated above a mountain
5. Not as costly as Silver Tips resort in Munnar Town but no compromise on quality whatsoever
6. Very good room quality, WiFi, TV, good housekeeping.
7. Roof Top Camp Fire
8. Candle light dinner.
We were on a 2 self drive trip to Munnar to celebrate our Anniversary. Our plan was - spend 1 night in a budget hotel - spend the 2nd night in a better hotel. Day 1 we spent in Hotel Gateway Munnar and for Day 2 we went to the following hotels before settling down on Misty Mountain:: Silver Tips, Aruvi Resort, Hotel Hill View, Sujhata Inn, Grand Plaza, Sterling Resort, Club Mahindra, Holiday Heaven, Fort Munnar. We were very choosy in the kind of room we wanted, with the view we had in mind and for the budget we had in mind and the hotel needs to be couple / family friendly. Misty mountain was the perfect choice. They have 4 types of rooms - Executive(no valley View), Executive with Valley View, Delux with Valley View and Suite with Valley View. We opted for the Executive with Valley View for Rs 3500 a night breakfast included. You will get a feel of the room from the pictures below. There is a restaurant on the 1st floor which is again Valley View. The hotel is 8 kms away from Munnar Town - i.e away from the traffic, madness but yet close to all the sight seeing points you would want to see, they have camp fire at the roof top which is good fun to spend 30 mins or so in the cold, all rooms have full amazing views of the Valley (no other hotel we checked out had a comparable view ), the TV is capable of playing music from your pen drive etc. You can enjoy the balcony - gazing the valley, listening to soft music, sipping Munnar special tea and talk nothing. The location, ambience, atmosphere is ideal. The only downside is close to the main highway and can get noisy especially in the morning.
Thumbs up to this Misty Mountain. They also have free WiFi.
Take a room 2nd floor and above to get a good view of the Valley.

Thank you sir for taking the time to write such a detailed review and for posting excellent pictures too.
Glad you enjoyed all that we have on offer and justify our tagline of being “best value for money” option in Munnar.
Wish you had gone trekking and tried our Ayurveda Spa too. We are also very close to cultural activity centre and an adventure park too.
We are considering changing our front side windows to heavy acoustic ones to counter the noise from morning traffic, next season.
Do recommend us to your dear and near ones and return for your next anniversary.
Thanks & Regds,
