“Great place.. good staff!”
Took our parents here for their 50th anniversary and spent two days in May 2009. The setting is gorgeous amid the Cardamom farm. The TATA tea gardens are a stone's throw away and offer beautiful, luscious views that are so rare nowadays in India.
The staff was very nice. The place is owned by a nearby Cardamom farmer, but has been leased by three young Hotel management grads. During our two days, only Gins and Anees were there to attend to us. They offered excellent service - Anees even gave us a great walk-along tour of the team gardens.
The cooking staff is pretty good, although it is not the best food I ate in Kerala. The menu is quite elaborate, but we opted for the simple stuff which turned out decent for on-premise cooking in a small kitchen.
The sheets and towels were clean, but did have a few stains. Nothing unhygienic, but I prefer my sheets and towels pure white.
The bathrooms were nice. Endless running hot water and upscale fixtures.
All in all, we had a good time. The setting is the best, the staff is great, and the food is above average. I plan to visit Kerala again with my children, and when I do, Bracknell Forest would be tops on my list.
