It ws d first time i stayed in a tree house. I really enjoyed myself. The name is quite apt becoz it is surrounded by nature. We went trekking uptil the highest point der. It ws fun n can nvr forget hw beautiful those dosas were. Hwevr food might b a little prob bcoz d hotel is located on the outskirts so hav to tell in advance if eat sumthg special. Bt d manager tried his best to b as helpful as possible. There is a jeep service which picks and drops u frm d hotel to the city. It takes abt 20 to 30 mins only.

We were travelling for our honeymoon and after a lot of research i choose nature zone resort as i wanted to experience tree house on a mountain.....The resort is great, away from whole world covered in mist most of times...The staff was amazingly friendly. The food was excellent, i have lived outside india for a few years now but have not forgotten the taste and the Dal here was simply like home. They do nice bed decoration for the first night. We spotted a deer just near our room the first day in the morning. You have alovely valley view plus nice comfortable balcony to sit and relax. NOW, one major thing if you love some adventure surely come here. the car which takes you from where ever stops around 1-2km from mountain and a jeep will come to pick you up. then as you reach the mountains jeep takes you through narrow passages(not road) on the mountain in middle of tea plantation. You will literally feel while going up and coming down from resort for first time that you can slide down but the drivers are professional.

OK, if you want entertainment take your tablet/Laptop along as there are no TVs, phone signals are also choppy. There is no SPA or swimming pool so if you want to visit these places you have to choose alternative.

For people above 50-55 or people with arthritis - Please don't book this place as this place requires you to walk some distance as rooms are located bit far from reception on a slope as it is right near the top of mountain.

For Couples - I bet you cannot find more beautiful place than this in Munnar, though the luxuries are less but if you want those things no point of going to kerala. They have guided trekking tours

I made a great decision visiting this place.

The place is shabby n shoddy.... not worth a penny....highly uncomfortable and no ameneties inside.....for those who r used to living in an environment where u cannot call the reception n restaurant ....n r used to very bad food....no comforts and snacks n fruits in the rooms....only 1 dim light in the room and that too the tube light hanging out of the socket....we had a really bad experience n think that is is wayy overpriced....maybe it doesnt deserve a price of more than 1000 a night :P trust me there r many many more better resorts in munnar for this price.... also once u go to the resort ....u cannot do anything on yr own as u r left to the mercy of the staff to take u in n out of the jungle....really bad....if u really want to experience munnar then dont stay here as u can see nothing else but the resort as u cannot get out of it.....n u r in munnar to see munnar n not the secluded resort.....the linen was torn n the beds were like so creaky....can u imagine that the restaurant was so dingy n dark...u wudnt know what u r eating n the food was really bad

Room Tip: dont chose this resort

An experience of a lifetime.. a wonderful place to get away with your family .. far away, nestled in the mountains and on a treetop... just the right place for people looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life....
The facilities are good... the people and staff are extremely cordial.. the food was homely and tasty...
If one were to think of improvements.... well the paths leading up to the tree houses can be better lit at night ... and some more activities to keep the guest occupied during the day time ... perhaps a small play area for kids ( swings / slide boards ) will also be an added attraction for guests.
Check our photos attached.

Room Tip: Tree Houses are Awesome.

The overall experience was just amazing...One should not miss out this resort. Even five stars in Munnar cant have such amazing natural beauty..Nature lovers and people interested in trekking and being close to nature should go here only..(100%) recommended.
Best Experience: Best was Tree house amidst the valley. Amazing tea plantations en-route the resort. Amazing view and experience of the nature

The resort had amazing landscape, amazing gardening. People out there were very humble and helpful. They knew Hindi also (broken). He took us to our Tree house and to add to my farsightedness our tree house was isolated from the rest. But yes once entering the tree house after seeing the amazing scenic view form the balcony I was fascinated.

Imagine even the washroom just had a glass pane no curtains anything, obviously only birds can see you bathe and you can see birds and plants while you in washroom doing your routine activity what an experience!!

we also heard the same voice from our tree house and also saw an amazing Giant Malabar Squirrel one of the largest squirrels found in the world.

Munnar is beautiful, and this 'resort' is nestled in the middle of some beautiful hills and plantations. However, the resort itself is rather uncomfortable and isn't worth the exorbitant rates they charge.
What is the 5.5k/day for? The view? The 'experience' of living in a tent? The food? Because it certainly doesn't explain the sub-par accomodations.
We stayed in the 'African Royal Safari Tent', which was, well a large, damp and moldy tent. But that was expected. What was this surprising was the complete lack of any comforts within the tent. The sheets were dirty and stained, and there was very minimal furniture in this rather large and cold tent. We understand the need to be eco-friendly, but providing the rooms with simple furniture (like a stand to hang your wet clothes (it rains most of the time out there), a small wardrobe or some extra chairs, or a sidetable) doesn't take a lot. The zippers of the tent were all broken, and zipping the tent took a good half hour every time, as we bruised and stabbed our fingers with tetanus-inducing metal.
I concede that the staff were extremely friendly, but it didn't make up for the underwhelming experience out there. The food was horrible, bland and boring, with absolutely nothing Keralite about it. We ate some Chinese chicken on day 1 (expensive at 250 bucks a person) and ate staple North-Indian food on day 2. On our request, they did try to accommodate us with a Keralite breakfast on our last day, but it was a little too late to sway our opinion.
The staff didn't seem very experienced, and the 'nature walks' are rather underwhelming walks through a rather unchanging and uninteresting plantation. When it rains out there, there really is nothing you can do but sit in the empty tent and wait, as the resort has nothing else planned for the guests.
On the plus side, the tents are pretty secure and do not leak. And Munnar on the whole, is a beautiful place, so just hope and wish that it doesn't rain and that you can remain outside the accommodation for as long as possible.

Honeymoon at Nature Zone in Munnar during the first week of May-2012-words cannot describe the beauty of this place, stayed at the tree house in Nature Zone for 3 days, best 3 days of my life, fantastic place/staff/facilities, evenings spent on the balcony of the tree house was ABSOLUTE HEAVEN, cant imagine a better place on planet earth. Brilliant.
