Hotel room was very nice for $50 with view to the ocean. However, the beaches around the area are bad, you have to go to West Bay for the beach. We spent most of our time diving so it was fine. The dive shop was very professional and nice. Diving in Honduras was so cheap and the reef was very beautiful!!! Definitely ask them to take you out to dive in West Bay (10-15 min boat ride). I will definitely come back for more diving.

3 for the location on the island and the restaurant was a little expensive.

We recently returned from a 2 week dive vacation in Roatan. We stayed at the Splash Inn. The hotel provided a great location, rooms, restaurant, and dive operation. The hotel is in the center of town but set back so it's quiet. Everything in town is within walking distance, on a newly paved road. The room was nice, clean, and well maintained. We ate breakfast there everyday and also had lunch and dinner there a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it. The dive operation was great. Serena runs a great shop and couldn't have been more accomodating and hospitable. Justin and Estaban are great divemasters. They are very knowledgable, safety conscious, and easy going. It was great diving. The Splash Inn staff were all very gracious, courteous, and helpful. It's good when the hotel, dive ops, and dock are all located in one location without being an out of the way resort. We definitely plan to return.

My dive buddy and I just got back from a week in Roatan drinking and diving (but not in that order). The Splash Inn ran a nice dive operation that was safe, efficient, and catered to the desires of the divers present. Justin was a great divemaster, safety-conscious, but easy-going and very knowledgeable. Serena ran a very pleasant and accomodating dive center.
You get a lot of diving for the money, and it's great to have the dive shop, boat dock, and restaurant just steps away from your hotel room. The room was clean and far enough away from the noisy bars to be quiet at night, yet close enough to the action for a short walk to great bars and restaurants. We got the half-board package that allowed us to eat breakfast and lunch at the hotel, and gave us the chance to sample several types of restaurants for dinner. Most were very good and yet affordable.

If you're into scuba then the Splash Inn in the West End in Roatan is the place to go . West Beach is the big resort type hotels, which if you want that sort of thing then best go there. (you'll pay MUCH more and travel further for the best diving.) If you're mainly looking for scuba or snorkelling then this is the best location. The boat leaves right across the road, the dive shop is literally steps from the front of the hotel.(Great group of instructors at the Splash Inn dive shop). Owned by resident Italian ex-pats, it is clean, relaxed but efficient. The Italian restaurant serves great pizza! The hotel is in the heart of the west end, with lots of bars and restaurant choices. The rooms are air coned and very clean, well furnished with all the basics you will need and nothing you don't. The staff were friendly and always willing to help in any way they can. Snorkelling is literally a short walk away - 20' from the sandy beach behind the church, you'll find 50+ species of tropical fish in very shallow water.

My wife joked with the owner that she dreamed of drinking a Pina Colada from a cocoanut and the next day he made it happen!
