“Lionfish Fajitas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

Took the water taxi over to West End from West Bay Beach for lunch and to stroll around a bit. We didn't have any particular place in mind but ran across Monkey Island and since they had a great view of the ocean we went in to check out the menu. Once we saw they had lionfish listed we decided to stay. We grabbed a table that faced the bay and we just sit kickedback and took in all the sights and sounds going on around us. We had chips, salsa, and guacamole plus an order of lionfish fajitas and a beef chimichanga. The appetizers were good and very fresh but the fajita's and chimichanga were fantastic! Very tasty, well put-together, and reasonably priced! We also had very pleasant service and felt very taken care of by our waitress. Oh and a bottle of water here costs less that a bottle of ginger ale! A very satisfying, friendly and enjoyable experience overall!

We were very impressed! Had the grilled red snapper and Roatan rice and Spock potatoes, one of the best meals we had on the island!

“Great view, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

This place was really good. We were sad we weren't there for the daily specials (there are a few!), b/c the menu prices were a little high. But the food was good, so no complaining from us. You MUST try the lionfish. They have lionfish and chips, lionfish tacos, lionfish quesadillas, etc. Doesn't matter which one, just get one. It is my new fave fish to eat (and you help the reef).
