I visited Roatan from 10/19-10/26/2013. We stopped in Sundowns for lunch. The bar is nice, and right on the water The food is typical bar fare. The bartender was courteous, attentive, and spoke English. We opted for a burger for lunch. I had the jalapeno burger it was a typical burger, with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. The burger came with fries also. The day, I visited, they were out of fries ( so be sure to ask). To supplement the fries, we were given fried plantains. The menu is basic, their bar menu is extensive. There's nothing " eye popping" about this establishment if you're looking for a local bar, this is the place. If you go during the evening hours, you can ask for bug spray from the bar, and that will be given to you to spray on. There's a lot of locals that visit there also if you're looking to mingle with others. Over all I had a nice experience.
