“Helpful, Happy, Honduran Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Nothing but RAVES for the wonderful diving we experienced with Seagrape Plantation Diveshop! While others divers were shlepping their gear, we were skipping merrily along the waves on our way to our morning dive. Seagrape has it down to an art. Checking in with Rachael at the office was a breeze. After checking our credentials and filling out our paperwork on the first dive, a friendly smile and wave was all it took from then on. After you are outfitted with your gear, Captain Ricky and First and Best Mate Hyson take over. Not only do they help in the boat, but for the rest of our dives (15 in total) they greeted us as we arrived, retrieved, carried to the boat, and set up all our gear - BC, weights, fins, mask, regulater, everything! Spa service on a dive boat! They even remembered where we prefered to sit and had us ready to go. All the time smiling, chatting and obviously enjoying their work. Tony is the DIVEMASTER! He took the time to personally discuss our preferences, experience, and expectations before determining which divesite to visit. Every dive was geared to the divers on board, not just a scheduled destination. You want turtles - you got turtles, a wreck? to the wreck we went. Channels? Tunnels? you named it, you got it. even spearing lion fish was included. With each dive he constantly monitored his divers, taking special care of the less experienced including practicing a few skills during the dive. Arriving back on the surface, same spa service. Gear grabbed, assisted out of the water, greeted with towels and smiles. During the dive, Tony would point out many small creatures and features, then explain the relationship between them all on board. Hyson and Ricky are fantastic sources of information regarding the reef as well and on occasion one of them would dive with us. Both are well quailifed if not dive masters themselves. And the boat. Perfect, clean, covered sitting area and never more than 10 on board. Back on shore, Rachael greeted us with fresh fruit, drinks and snacks.
These guys know what they are doing! We will be back!

“Fabulous and Family-Owned”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

My two sons and I stayed at Seagrape over the Easter Weekend, 2013. I can't say enough good things. This is well-run, neat, and comfortable hotel and diving operation. The service, friendliness and family atmosphere is incredible. The hotel is managed by the warm and efficient Mariela and Jessica. The dive shop is right on the property and the crew handles all the tanks and gear, getting divers set-up just right, each and every time. On the dive sites, all of them outstanding, Tony is truly a Master of the Masters. Kudos to all the rest of the crew for the support they provide including Rachel, Cleve, Haisan, and Ricky. They are well organized, tireless, and extremely gracious. (See photo below for a look at this awesome team.)

“Scuba diving/ snorkeling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

Seagrape Diveshop is an all purpose dive center, and is part of a local family's livelihood...(we like supporting the locals); they have long standing Dive Instructors and a professional set-up in every way. Now for the fun part....diving and snorkeling, including good boats. Ask Tony to tell you about the Josie J! I have dived with Seagrape for many years. They are not the only good shop, but definitely worth several dives with them. They even serve fresh fruit upon your return to the dock!

This is the best dive crew ever! I did my PADI Open Water course with them and can't wait to return. They are professional, attentive and fun. We also went fishing with two of the staff and had the best time. It was absolutely everything a vacation should be. Their boats are immaculate and well-cared for. Tony, Rachel, Ricky, Cleve, Corvan, Marielle and of course, Admiral, are the greatest!

“Relaxed, friendly dive group”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

We had some great dives with this team:
Pros:
Excellent dive boat, best we saw in the area!
Friendly crew with Rachel keeping it all in line at the counter, and Ricky recognizes your gear by day two!
Casual diving schedule, no need to commit too far ahead just see if there is room to dive. (See cautions below)
Willing to go where the water is best including the other side of the island when the wind changes at no extra expense to you.
Prices were some of the best quoted.
The gear looked good and well maintained (we had our own) and the gear and compressor rooms well maintained.
You can dive to your air and computer allowances, no need to be in a pack.
Dive master Tony was very knowledgeable of reef and creature and Cleve brought a lot of enthusiasm to every dive!

Recommendations:
This was busy season and they accommodated up to 10 people with one dive master, which was ok if you are experienced and have your own dive partner, but should be considered if you are less experienced.

Enjoy diving with Seagrape!
