“Awesome day in roatan with victor bodden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

We had an awesome day with victor bodden tours. We booked the fun and sun tour. My children ( age 7 and 10) had a great time at monkey business and they say that was their best adventure!! The overall tour was great and we had plenty of time for sun at the bananarama resort! We both had a great couples massage for 20$ for 1hr at there recommendation of our tour guide and it was really awesome! It was truly wonderful to have toured with victor bodden tours!

“Wonderful Day in Roatan with Victor Bodden Tours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

I cannot say enough great things about this tour!!! We did the Fun - N - Sun tour for $30 per person! That included an island tour, a trip to Victor's Monkey Business, and a beach stop with lounge chairs included!! This was by far the best value and the best day of our cruise!!! Our driver Lionel was very knowledgable and provided great information. From the very first contact, Victor was prompt to get back to me, and provided great information. About a month before the cruise, he sent an email full of helpful tips and detailed instructions on how to find him once we exited the port area (Victor does not require you to pay a deposit so please be courteous to your fellow travelers and let him know if you change your mind. We waited about 20 extra minutes for a group that didn't show up) He was spot on, we walked up and over the hill and as we walked down we saw the first Victor Bodden sign, and were directed a little further up to Victor himself! We toured the island, had some great photo stops, and then made our way to Monkey Business!!! OMG... this was worth the price of the tour even if nothing else had been included. It was so much fun and those little monkeys were so cute, they run and jump and one of them likes to stick his hand down your shirt lol, I had the most laughs of the whole cruise with the monkeys!! Our group had our own guide throught the monkey farm (Karen) she was very helpful and tried to make sure everyone got a good picture. While we were at the Monkey Farm we paid for our tour at Victor's office, and got wristbands for the beach later in the day. We headed over to Bananarama Beach got our lounge chairs and rented snorkeling equipment ($10) and were off to enjoy the beautiful clear water. It was a little rough the day we were there so didn't see as much as I would have liked while snorkeling but still worth the $10 rental! We then had a snack at beach bar (Roatan Dip... yumm yumm) and 2 for $5 rum punch!! Before he dropped us at the beach Lionel arranged with the group what time we wanted him to come back and get us and he was right on time. Then it was back to the ship with 30 minutes to spare, I would have loved to spend to more time on Roatan but this was our short day so we had to be back on board at 2:30 (of course there were some dummies running down the peir at 2:45) I highly recommend this tour and will definelty book with Victor Bodden again on any return trips to Roatan!!!!

“Best of Roatan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

We did the Best of Roatan tour with our driver Tex. 2 adults and 2 kids. Had a great time and Roatan was one of our favorite stops. Well worth the money to do whatever you want. Being not much for the beach but the kids wanting to swim we went to the beach first. It was nice and the water very clear. Kids loved the fish swimming right up to them. Drove around the island, ate lunch, and went to the monkey house. Another hit for the kids.
A great part about this tour is that you don't spend all day waiting around, do what you want, when you want. Felt perfectly safe the whole day. We ate burgers at a place by the water. While they did not taste like what we are used to, they were fine. Tex took us to see some dolphin trick s and we got to sight see which we like. Would recommend to anyone. Cant go wrong.

“Leona From Bodden Tours Was A Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

We went on the Fun-n-Sun Tour. We spent $30 a person (there were 4 adults in our group). The van we all went on as a group had about 14 people on it... so it was very enjoyable. I *HATE* large crowds. We had a driver (I do not remember his name) and our tour guide, Leona. Leona knew the island very well, and you can tell she enjoyed telling the story of the people and culture.

Our first stop was on the east end of the island for a photo stop. This was the only thing I would say they probably could eliminate from this tour. I would have rather spent more time at the beach.

We then went to the Victor Bodden's "Monkey Business". This is where you paid for your tour, and received a wrist band for the beach facilities later.

Monkey Business was AMAZING!!! One of the best parts of our whole trip! We had three separate "in cage" interactions with monkeys, parrots, and macaws. And there was ample time in each to really get to see and hold the animals. There was an areas with native deer, and one came over an licked my fingers... so surreal!

We had a personal guide at Monkey Business who took us through the facility. I do not remember her name, but she was really nice, and very informative about each animal.

We then go on the van a had about a 30 minute scenic drive through the west side of the island and went to Bananarama Beach Resort. The resort itself is very nice, and would even consider staying here if I was to ever come back to Roatan on a land trip. BUT... the beach was STUNNING!!! Crystal clear water that was to die for. We had lunch (a little pricey) at the resort. Leona stayed behind to watch over everyone's belongings as they swan. There are many vendors on the beach (be forewarned). I did by a hammock for $20. I thought it was an amazing deal. And you can haggle. There are people there trying to sell personal snorkeling trips that were pretty reasonably priced. We chose not to do this.

From there we go back to the ship with some time to spare for some shopping in the tourism village in Mahogany Bay.

I HIGHLY recommend this trip. Our ship (the Liberty) had a shorter time in this port, so this tour was perfect for our itinerary. And the value ($30 per person) is a steal! We did tip our driver and Leona, and the person from the zoo.
