“Best in Monterrico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Yes, its a little more expensive than others in town
but its worth it as the menu is like no others and
the owner chef takes care of the detials.

Try the pastas or the fresh fish dishes.

Good service too.

“Best in Monterrico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Lots of choices here in Monterrico but
El Pelican is the best we visited...by far.

Great menu selection and prepared
wonderfully.

We had salads and pastas and they are as
good as anywhere else.

Service is excellent.

Prices are a little high but hey they
don´t have anywhere else to compare to
for the quality and presentation.

“The only place to go....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Monte Rico is a very small town and like most tourist
towns there are plenty of choices for restaurants.

But, El Pelicano is by far the best choice in town

The owner and chef is European and her menu
is the evidence. Great slection, fresh ingrediants
and products prepared like you would want even
a small town.

Try any of the fish dishes or any of the Swiss dishes
as ther are all very, very good.

Prices are more expensive as compared to Monte
Rico but not more expensive than Guatemal City or
Antigua.

“Great pasta”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

I had the pasta which was amazing. My girlfriend was not as happy as me when she had the burger. It was rather chewy, and the fries leave quite a bit to be desired.

“Best restaurant in Monterrico!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

El Pelicano is a must do while in Monterrico! Its hands-down the best food in Monterrico. Yes the prices are higher than other restaurants in town, but the quality of the ingredients and the delicious dishes make it worth it. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you are a big group better make a reservation on the weekends, as Satuday is packed. The jumbo shrimp diabalacos are soooo good!
