HI,
I enjoyed the pool and cool water Jacuzzi with a party of 12. The pool was clean and big. There were coverings overhead to keep the sun from being too hot over the pool/Jacuzzi. The restaurant had good food plus had the soccer game (finals ) was on the big screen. There is a changing hut. We went by car and in order for us to go over we had to pay for a boat to take our car over a canal or bay for 30 minutes to reach the beach area. There is a small town if you want to buy snacks.

It was a satisfying experience with a very clean swimming pool, good service and a friendly ambiance near the ocean with the everlasting and relaxing sound of waves. The advantage of this hotel is that it's far away from the centre of Monterico making a very quiet place, a secluded resort surrounded by forest. But after 6pm, the mosquitoes devour any visible skin in the area; it's best to have your dinner delivered to your room, and stay indoors until at least 10pm. The price includes breakfast but other meals are a bit expensive for El Salvador. Careful for the scorpions, they bite really painfully. We found two in our room, one in the window curtain and one sneaked under the bathing towel. This is one of the rare hôtels on Monterico which is right on the beach, their private beach.

Quiet, comfortable hotel. I went with my family and enjoyed the beach, the rooms, the kind staff, the food and a relaxing massage. Good for relaxing, resting and enjoying the nature. My kids did not want to leave. I recommend it.

The hotel is located by the beach. There is a nice swimming pool and an area with several hammocks, the perfect spot to have a siesta with the sound of the waves as a lullaby. Rooms have air conditioning, which is great in the central hours of the day. The restaurant is very good. Don't miss the cocoa frozen smoothies!

We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel has a nice pool area right on the beach. The rooms are simple, but clean and very adequate. The air conditioning works great, which is really important in this hot climate. Internet is only available at the main office, but so what. The food is very good and the service is excellent. I highly recommend the whole red snapper grilled. We would stay at the Utz Tzaba again.

The customer service at Utz Tzaba is the best that I've received at any place in my 2 weeks traveling in Guatemala. The staff is friendly, attentive and considerate of your needs and desires.

It's an overall nice beach front hotel with a good pool, restaurant, and spacious rooms. The beds are a bit hard, but good air conditioning more than compensates for that! They supply plenty of shower towels and pool towels.

During the week the hotel is empty of guests; it's like having your own private resort! But on the weekend the hotel is completely full; I had to stalk out lounge chairs. Note: you can ask for a pad for the lounge chairs.

I enjoyed staying here much more than staying at the Cayman Suites, which is more like a typical American hotel. The layout, restaurant, pool and wifi is much better at Utz Tzaba. Note: wifi is only available at the front desk, but it's free.

Be aware that there are tons of mosquitoes in Monte Rico.

Room Tip: I had room #5 which is the corner room near the restaurant and backs up to the parking lot. The onl...

Me and my friend stayed at this hotel for just one night. And it was ok, it needs little more things to make comfortable , like internet, TV, phones in the rooms. Also they won't let you use the beach chairs at the from of the beach, which I didn't understand at all. They told us that chairs were only to be use for the pool. The staffs were friendly though.
