“Simply amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Super beautiful spot. Climb up to the view first, then go for a swim to wash off the sweat :) Don't miss the trail below the pools along the river for a bit. Worth checking out where the river comes out of the caves and jump off the falls!

“Breathtaking wiew”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

It´s a beautyful place to go. Climing up to El Mirador is realy a hard work but it´s worth it. It´s a nice reward afterwords to jump into the refreshing cristal-clear blue pools.

“Great place to see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

We spent two nights in the Utopia Eco Lodge nearby and did the trip to the caves and pools with them. Being a small group of just 5 people we had a guide of our own. The guide was really good and entertaining and made the day a great experience. But... On a place like Semuc Champey it can only be great. Chrystal clear water, super nice to swim and dive and play in! Absolutely worth to go there, though it is a little bit off the track ;-)

“The mirador walk is worth the effort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Take your time. When you get to the top, you'll feel giddy with effort and success! Such a gorgeous view and knowing you're going to hike down to those limestone pools and swim in lagoons makes the sweat worth it!

“Pristine waters and a nice hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We have done the tour leaving from next door hostal El Portal, where we were staying. The hike is nice and it takes approximately 2 hours, finishing at the river where you can bath for 2 hours.

After, you may either stay longer at the river or do the cave tour. The cave tour is quite a dangerous adventure, but this is subject for another review.
