4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

Small hotel with only 5 rooms. Recommend at least Suite. Did not eat dinner at restaurant but menu looked very good. Good location in the old town to visit sites. Breakfast ok; made to order not buffet. I would likely stay again.

Very good location close to the church Saint Sofia and most of the good restaurants. We stayed in the deluxe apartment which was huge, with  great views of the lake and the mountains. It was comfortably furnished in old-fashioned style matching the style of the half timbered building.

Service is friendly and efficient. Great breakfast (although the background music can be awful....Macedonian folk music rather an acquired taste!).

Room Tip: Deluxe apartment with lake view is the room to stay in.

As we are two male friends we wanted twin rooms (two separate beds) , they gave us an apartment, which we paid a bit extra for, but what a great room. This place is idyllic, fantastic location, right by the bars and restaurants and next to the lake. No buffet breakfast, they serve you an 'egg based' meal, my morning omelette with cheese, mushroom and ham was just fine.

Helpful and friendly staff.

The villa sits in a super location; tranquil and just minutes away from the beautiful lake. We had a spacious, comfortable and clean apartment. The jet spray shower took a while to get to grips with and didn’t burst out the super hot heat I like! Very helpful and friendly staff with breakfast made to order and a complimentary fresh fruit tray was in the room every day, a really nice touch. The hotel has kept a charming antique look of past with up to date facilities.
An excellent stay and it rates highly as one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in.

We stayed here for only 1 night with the family sadly. This is an amazing original Ohrid Villa with antiques hand made in Macedonia. Facilities and service are the best we have experienced in Europe plus the location across the church gives it a peaceful feel. Breakfast is nice but the staff just make you feel like you are the only one they serve. Next time we are here we'll book it for the whole trip!

I echo what other reviewers have already said: fantastic location in the old town, across the street from the lake; welcoming, friendly and helpful staff (Zoran was terrific!); the breakfast was made-to-order and delicious; the hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable (even if the decor is a bit dated), and aircon was delightful. Parking could be tricky, but Zoran came out and helped us find a space very nearby. Our room had a balcony (I believe one of the few, if not only, rooms with a balcony) with a beautiful view of the Church of St Sofia. If we are ever in Ohrid again, we will definitely return to this lovely hotel, and would highly recommend it to others.
