“Excellent family run business”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

Although I usually prefer to go to the hotel this time we have decided for the apartment - the price was limiting factor as it was five times lower when compared to the hotel available online. I have to say we made a right choice - new building, everything clean. We had duplex room, both air-conditioned, with flat TV.
Everything is generally great but some little details have to be improved - like bathroom ventilation which was not functioning at the time we were there. As this is family run business I think these little details will improve in time.
Ohrid is small city - at least those parts that tourists visit, so villa is very close to the center.
I would recommend hotel in proximity Royal View where we went for coffee, lunch and dinner - prices are ok, and meals for 2 can satisfy the needs of 4 persons.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

We stayed here in June on a weekend with some friends. We booked a comfort room and it was nice and clean with a private balcony. Our friends had a duplex-room, because they travelled with two kids.
I especially liked the fact that we had a separate couch in our room, so we didn't have to sit on the bed all the time and the room was bigger because of this. The bathroom was small, but clean and the shower was very good. The only downpart was the bed. That was a bit short, especially since my boyfriend is 2 meters long. The quality of the bed was excellent though, just the size wasn't what we were used to.
The staff of the hotel was very nice, helpfull and their English was excellent.
Distance to the old city of Ohrid was just a short walk along the boulevard. Close to the hotel was a bakery where we went for breakfast, since the hotel doesn't provide breakfast. The bakery was nearby, very good and offered friendly service. Typical Macedonian delicacies you could choose from and all extremely fresh. There's also a supermarket nearby, if you want to stock up on drinks, to put in the refridgerator in your room. Or else you can do some shopping in the nearby main shopping area of Ohrid and the market.
We had a rental car and could easily park in front of the hotel (free of charge) and the hotel was easy to find. Because the hotel is very close to the outskirts of Ohrid and just outside the old town, where the streets are really steep, narrow and winding, it's easy to find yoyr way around and go to the beaches by car or to Sv. Naun Monastery.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and if we visit Ohrid again, I would definitely stay here again.
