“Really good time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2012

We stayed here in September 2011 and had a really nice time. We are going back to Egypt in June and had this hotel been available we would have happily stayed again.

The hotel and grounds were beautiful and the rooms were to a good standard. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

There was not a lot of entertainment, but we were not too fussed about that. We are the kind of couple that would rather go for dinner and then hang out on the balcony in our room. They had an outside bar which was lively, so we could go for a drink when we fancied it. If you want something to do in the evening then I would recommend taking a trip to Naama Bay, where there are loads of bars and restaurants. I would not go during the day because it is quiet and you get a lot of hassle from the locals (as your walking down to Naama bay just ignore the shop keepers and don't let them take you into their shops - they are just trying to get money.....Oh and stay away from the men offereing camel rides).

Food at the Sea Club was fine...just what you would expect for all inclusive. Could get a bit samey, but that again is all inclusive for you.

We had a morning in the spa which was pants...not very realxing and if your like me then you just want to be outside.

The excursions available at the hotel are fantastic...we had a great time on all of them, apart from the jeep safari which was just odd. Go snorkelling!!!!

If you are laid back and just want a week to chill out then the Sea Club is perfect.

This hotel is beautiful and the staff are fantastic, I went with my boyfriend in November 2011 and would most certainly go back. In particular, the bar staff are wonderful and so friendly. Most staff can speak a variety of languages including English, German and Russian. Most of the staff can't do enough for you and make you feel very welcome. The hotel has everything you would need - a lovely beach, a large swimming pool, spacious rooms, beautiful surroundings, shops and bars, good food and plenty of drink. It is not very close to Naama Bay but it is about 10 mins in a taxi, just make sure you don't let them charge you too much for the taxi ride.

My only criticism would be their handling of an issue we had. We'd got room service earlier in the week and paid by cash. When we went to check out, they had no record of us paying as they do not accept cash payments however nobody had told us this. The bar manager who dealt with us was extremely rude and made us pay for the room service again. The staff member who took our cash denied the incident and pocketed 100 Egyptian Pounds without telling anyone. Make sure you don't pay for ANYTHING with cash unless giving a tip!!

Room Tip: They may try too charge you extra for a sea view, however we paid the normal price and had a sea vie...

Me and my boyfriend(19 & 20 years old) stayed for one week in early January at the Sea Club Resort. This was our second visit to Egypt as a couple and had high expectations after our previous visit to The Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort & Spa.

We began our holiday at 'No1 Lounge' in Gatwick Airport (North Terminal). We highly recommend booking this with your holiday package as it was a great start to our break. The lounge caters for all needs with a snack bar, hot food, all inclusive bar, cinema, pool table and access to computers.

We arrived in Sharm El Sheikh International Airport to the usual chaos. After being shouted at and herded like cattle we collected our bags and proceeded to our bus. To anyone who has not travelled to Egypt before do not let the arrival put you off as it remains to be a shambles.

We arrived at the Sea Club Resort to immaculate gardens and luxurious surroundings. Sadly however, the check-in process is badly managed. We requested a sea view room and were blown away by the amazing surroundings. The room upgrade was unquestionably worth the small amount we paid.

The rooms come very well equipped with a flat screen TV, essential appliances, spacious balcony and are well decorated. We would also like to thank the cleaning staff who found time to build lovely towel sculptures even when working long days.

When staying at any of the 'Sea Group' hotels you have access to all three in the complex (Sea Club, Sea Life and Sea Gardens). This includes full use of the swimming pools, bars and restaurants. All of the grounds are fantastically kept by the hard working gardeners.

The culinary standards across this resort are excellent. There are three main buffet style restaurants which feature '10 Days, 10 Ways', this is a rotation of themed evenings. There are also four 'A La Carte' restaurants to choose from, three of which are included in the all inclusive package but are limited to one visit per stay. The restaurants include 'El Dewania' - Lebanese, 'Il Pescatore' - Seafood and 'Teppenyaki' - Japenese. We thoroughly enjoyed all three of the restaurants and recommend booking them. The fourth restaurant is 'La Fondue', this is a French theme which requires an extra charge.

Each hotel comes with its own lobby bar, although we found the only 'Nightlife' was in Sea Club. This is in large thanks to Atef the musician who entertained guests with his violin and piano skills. The 24hour lobby bar generally clears out about 11pm, there is the 'Jungle bar' which has a late night disco, however we found this to be empty as we travelled in January.
We would like to thank the barmen (especially Mohammed and Big Hand Ahmed) who provided us with brimming glasses and good humour.

The hotel is sparsely populated with various shops with staff that do not bother you in the typical Egyptian manner. To people who have not visited Egypt before please be prepared if you are thinking of going to Naama bay, as it can be very intimidating with shopkeepers hassling you and even locking you into their shop. However you can avoid behaviour like this by visiting Soho Square which is about 10 minutes away from the hotel. This is a more relaxed shopping environment which includes entertainment, bowling, an ice rink and bars.

The only negative aspects of our trip were firstly the rudeness of Russian guests who seem to lack common courtesy. There were a number of incidents including queue pushing, doors slammed in face and just general ignorance. There is no respect for anybody but themselves and we found the best solution is to just laugh in their faces.

It can also seem impossible to relax at times due to the excessive nagging of various sales staff. These include excursions, massages, beauty treatments, tattoos and the animation team. While the majority of the staff will eventually respect your privacy, there are a few who are too persistent and became rude and slightly abusive after numerous rejections. I appreciate they are just doing their job but they need to understand that we want to relax on holiday. Please bare in mind that bartering is big part of Egyptian culture so do not feel rude when negotiating.

Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend this complex to any ages. There is something for everybody and we would consider going back.

Thank you again to all the hard working staff, we appreciate all your efforts to make our trip wonderful.

Room Tip: Book a sea view room. Don't be afraid to negotiate. Book restaurants early to avoid disappoint...

Returned from New Year trip with nothing but praise for the Hotel & staff. Recognised as a "returning guest" and really made to feel at home with "welcome back" from so many of the staff.
I have now been at all times throughout the year & hotel impresses no matter when you visit, spotlessly clean, manicured gardens & great friendly staff.
Decorations for Christmas & New Year and the Gala Dinner made for a fabulous stay.
Cannot imagine not returning...so have already booked the next one!!!

This was my 10th visit to this gorgeous hotel and it is improving with every visit! We travelled with my parents and friends and the whole group loved it. We arrived at the hotel on 31st December just in time for the New Years Eve Party which was an amazing night, the food was delicious and the entertainment was perfect, certainly a night i will never forget!

The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived until the second we left, staff throughout the hotel are extremely helpful and always smiling. the bar staff are very good and you will never find your glass empty whether you're ar the beach bar, pool bar or lobby bar.
We stayed in Sea club where the room was spotlessly clean, spacious, big bathroom and a superb sea view, special thanks to the room cleaner Ali in block 2 he was brilliant! The dine around concept is brilliant meaning guests can use any of the facilities in the 3 sea group resorts hotel and the service is also brilliant in Sea Garden and Sea Life. Much improvements from the summer with the Teppenyaki, Seafood and Lebanese restaurant now in the all inclusive package. The buffet was very good with a large selection of food available and all very tasty, you will never leave this hotel feeling hungry,
The staff in the Francis Drake and Jungle bar pubs are also excellent at night especially Fouad in the Francis Drake, he made sure we were well looked after.
The staff at the pool are very helpful and make sure you have sunbeds everyday which is perfect. Special thanks again to all the staff who make the holiday so enjoyable, the management, reception, bar staff, waiters, recreation and especially the very helpful guest relations girls Tatiana, Eleonora and Veronique. Can't wait to return back to the Sea Club during the summer!

my husband and i have just returned from 15 days at sea club, we had a fantastic time. The whole complex is beautiful and so are the people who work there, they work hard constantly to make sure the apartments are spotless and comfortable, the grounds are full of trees and flower beds and they work hard to keep these in tip top condition. The restaurant is big and spacious and the food tasty and plentiful , restaurant staff are hard working especially Amr Saber and Mahmoued Maziliey who made sure we always had drinks when our glasses became empty! and so very polite and friendly, in fact all staff always have a smile on their faces with a friendly greeting no matter what time of day or night. We would reccomend the sea club to everyone a great time to be had for all!!

Room Tip: sea view is beautiful and very quiet
