Just got back from a weeks holiday at the Jaz Mirabel with my dad and sister and thoroughly enjoyed are relaxing peaceful stay with 100% customer service from every single staff member!
First impression was fantastic! The lobby is beautiful with a fountain and massive chandeliars, a waiter straight away asked if we needed a drink from the long journey and said dinner will be at 10.30pm which was great as we were starving! Got taken to our room on a buggy with our suitcases and the man carried them to our rooms for us. The room we had was 2287 and it was lovely! Very clean, had 4 beds, nice view of pool and large balcony (which i did email about) and a large tv to watch movies before bed, cannot fault the cleanliness or facilities of the room at all, and for final touches we were given soft drinks, coffee and tea and towel art everyday of our stay without extra charge but did give the cleaner £10 at the end of the week for doing a sterling job!
The maintenance of the hotel was incredible! The gardeners were gardening every single day and made it look beautiful and spotless!
Pools were nice and refreshing however did need a little clean due to leaves at the bottom but that doesnt bother me. Always found sunbeds but because of the palm trees i did have to move the sunbed around alot which was quite annoying - towels that are given are fluffy and big which is good! Osama was the life and soul of the pool area, every morning having drinks ready for us and throughout the day was always giving us drinks with a smile on his face! By the end of the holiday we got really friendly and was sad to say goodbye, he is an asset to the hotel and tipped at the end of the holiday as he couldnt do enough for us.
Food was absolutely divine! If people say it was repetitive thats a lie because there was something new everyday and I always ate well! The waiters and chefs would always give you 100%, special thanks to Hussain for breakfast and lunch, always having a table with drinks ready for us on the dot.. and the omelette chef who always had ours ready before we asked!
Entertainment wasnt the best no but wasnt awful either! The trio singers were incredible and watched them every night they were on - Bar waiters at night Sherif and Tamer were so lovely and also got very fond of- So efficient and remember everyone's orders! And didnt even tip them to the end either so its not always about the tips to them as they didnt even know we were going to tip them!
All staff were so friendly and welcoming - I am blonde with blue eyes so me and my sister did get alot of unwanted attention but as long as you dont take it serously and have a laugh it doesnt actually matter as they are only trying to be friendly and have a joke with the visitors!
Only downside to this hotel is the beach... it is very shallow for me as i am 6ft ha! Very sharp floor, cant go on the jetty as it is under maitenance and the jetty down the beach we had to pay £3 each apparently so werent having that! When we did sunbathe, I was constantly being disturbed by the man dragging two camels.. every single day at least 5-6 times (maybe because im blonde and too polite to say to go away) also little kids asked me to buy jewellry so i bought one the first time but after 10 times from three kids I went to pool as I felt bad every time i said no... Also beware of the camel men, one man had a photo taken and they demanded £150 english money!! Set a price beforehand!
Other than that I would definately go back as I had a wonderful week! Cannot fault anything else, but the staff make the hotel 5* by far! They were tremendous! And I hope they are praised for all their efforts!
Miss you guys already!
Email them beforehand and ask for a newly renovated room, it was perfect!
