“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013 via mobile

Just returned from a week away with a couple of friends and her wee baby. we were looking for some excursions to keep uz busy for a few days.. While walking around some shops we came across falcon adventure who never hassled uz at all to go in.. Kirsty, max & said were very helpful explained all trips clearly and prices were cheaper than what the hotels where offering uz.. We booked up to go on the bottom glass boat.. Prices included pick up from our hotel and transported to the boat and return journey too.. The baby was only 8 months old but she enjoyed sittin on the glass and watching all the different fish... We were that impressed by the trip we went back to book some more trips which included quad biking and the red sea cruise... Quad biking was an amazing experience in the dessert Doady the guide was friendly and very good at what he does.. Res sea cruise we really enjoyed as we could just relax and enjoy the sun... One of our friends got out to go snorkling in which the guys who were looking after uz was very nice and helpful as she wasnt a strong swimmer.. They reassured her and stayed with her the full 45 mins of the snorkling.. This was a great price as included transfers and lunch too...This was my first time in egypt and i would definetly recommend falcon adventures to anyone who is looking for great deals and friendly staff... Thank you to said and his team...

“Must Do This!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We did the desert experience thing with quad bikes, camels, and bbq. Totally worth doing after sitting around a pool all day, you just have to get out of that resort! A fantastic excursion with a personal touch from the lovely Kirsty, its so good to have someone so friendly and helpful in a place like this. We had a quad bike each and our two boys just loved it, a real adventure for them involving lots of time riding, this was no 'have a go round a track' it was really out there in the desert! We arranged this online before we went to save any hassle when there - so glad we did.
Highly recommended.

“Would use Falcon again without hesitation....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

If I were to book trips in Sharm again I would use these guys every time.

We booked three trips. Water Park, a day trip to Petra, and the Ultimate Desert (Quad Bike) Experience. Written up a review of the latter two separately and posted on the appropriate page but reproduced them at foot of this review as well.

Had email conversation with Kirsty prior to leaving for Sharm where she explained the trips I was interested in and even went so far as dropping into our hotel to get me a direct email address for the Front Office.

Can't say I spent a lot of time comparing prices, but where I did compare I didn't see anything cheaper from any of the other operators. Definitely would not look to use the hotel or tour reps as they definitely seemed to have very inflated prices across the board.

Always felt like we were in more than capable hands throughout.

AQUA PARK

Booked the Aqua Park trip through Falcon Adventures. We (adult and three boys 15, 12, 10) decided to go at 930 on the day and were being picked up by the minibus from our hotel only an hour later. All that was required was a couple of texts with Kirsty of Falcon Adventures and we were on our way.

The park is adequate for a day out, but if you have been spoilt by a Florida water park experience then you will be a little disappointed. Kids had pretty much had enough after two or three hours. The rides are spread out over the resort with accommodation blocks interspersed (would not like to stay at resort with so many people walking around and through the place). There are rides catering for all ages and they go from relatively easy to some more harsh experiences, nothing like the big rides in Florida though.

We also thought the water was a bit too cold. Though, in fairness, that may have been the effect of the wind chill on the day. Even though it was a hot day the wind picked up and cooled you quite rapidly.

The upside is that there is very little queuing. We were there during the Easter break and didn't wait more than a couple minutes for any ride.

Lockers available at LE6 a day with some sort of deposit. Think it was around LE15. You could also hire towels for similar amounts. We did neither so can not comment further.

Cost through Falcon is £20 per person over 12 and £15 for younger. Includes transport to and from, free lunch and drink voucher and, of course, entry. Quick note on a less expensive day is that we took our own drinks which the guys on the door looked to confiscate, but argue the case and they give up, saves you some cash during the day although I noticed the soft drinks were only LE10 anyway.

ULTIMATE DESERT EXPERIENCE.

We enjoyed this afternoon/evening trip with Falcon Tours. Booked a double and two single quad bikes, prices as per the website. The single quads are fine for kids 12 and up and I took my 10 year old on the double quad with ease.

You get picked up from the hotel around 3pm and it is a short drive to the quad place where you get on the bikes and are offered the opportunity to purchase a head scarf if you haven't bought one already from the Falcon main office or elsewhere. (A head scarf is a necessity on this trip if you want to be able to breathe as the amount of dust kicked up by the bikes is phenomenal. The guides help you put them on properly.)

We also brought both sunglasses and cycle gloves with us. The former help keep the dust out of your eyes while the latter were useful as the grips on the quads can make your hands sore after a while.

Note the various references to dust, don't expect to wear the same clothes again during your holiday as you are filthy dirty at the end of the trip!

You start off with a 45 min drive out to a canyon where you shout your name and it echoes etc., the on to a Bedouin camp where you can buy drinks. You stay at the camp for only 10 mins or so before moving on to another camp nearby for the camel rides.

Kids really didn't enjoy the camel rides, fortunately they were over in 15 mins. The camels are all a bit ropey. The Bedouin expect a tip for this, I gave them LE10 for each of us.

You then move on to another camp just a short drive away where you there is a BBQ and entertainment (and very clean loos!). The food was surprisingly good, as was the tea, the entertainment not so good. Kids and I spent our time wandering outside the BBQ camp to look at the stars as the viewing is really good with little light pollution.

You drive the quads back at around 8pm, in the dark. Kids really enjoyed this bit.

Transfer back to hotel is rapid and we were in our rooms by 930ish.

PETRA. DAY TRIP.

Took a day trip to Petra through Falcon Adventures from Sharm el Sheikh.

It is a very long day. 24 hours from pick up to drop off, so not really for kids. I got the hotel to sort out a breakfast box for me as you leave at around 1am.

The boat trip is relatively pleasant. High speed catamaran. Everyone seemed to munch away at their breakfast boxes then.

At Jordan we all got split up into different groups based on language I presume and boarded another coach.

Petra was great to see, but I didn't think too much of the guide we had. I had learnt a lot more about the history and site from a brief twenty mins on the Internet before I left the UK. The guide walks you down the Siq (main entrance) into the site itself and stops along the way to explains few bits and pieces, everyone is eager to get to the Treasury though.

One thing that would have been good to have from the get go was a schedule of how the trip panned out. I hope the following helps.

Schedule (times in brackets are Jordan time, or hour ahead):
1.30am Pick up
5am Taba
6.30am boat leaves
8(9)am Aqaba
8.30 (9.30)am eventually through immigration
9.30(10.30)am quick stop.
11(12)am Petra
2(3)pm depart Petra for 10min journey to hotel for lunch
3(4)pm depart hotel
4(5)pm quick stop
5(6)pm Aqaba
6(7)pm boat eventually departs
7.30pm back at Taba
8.30pm eventually start the drive
Midnight. Back at Sharm.

“"Sand Buggies in the desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

2nd year we have used Falcon for this fun trip in the desert. Said arranged pickup from our hotel at 10am. Escort arrived bang on time in a spotless minibus to take us to the Company's compound in the desert. After introduction to our guide and a thorough Health and Safety briefing it was time to go! Started off gently to get us acclimatised and used to the buddies then he built up the speed though watching us all the way. We stopped after about 40 mins for a break at the Bedouin settlement.Really interesting as the guy was great fun and really informative about his way of life and his family. We also got the homebrew Egyptian tea ! Definately an acquired taste but worth a try. We stopped a couple of times on the way back. Our guide took our photos at one vantage point and then stopped again to let us hear our voice echoes in the mountains. Then it was back to base. We are a family of five adults and the fun was amazing even though it was our second trip of this kind with Falcon. We returned to our hotel again in a spotless minibus. A tailor made trip to our spec and at a great value for money price! Keep up the excellent service Said and please look after that wonderful Scottish Lassie you now have working in your office !!!
