We stayed here for our last night in Ecuador before flying back to the states. The room was large and very clean and the breakfast buffet was more than we expected. We don't eat meat and they were more than willing to make us omelets without ham. We didn't find much to do in downtown Guayaquil except for the malecon, which was okay. The hotel warned us about taking taxis and suggested we use their cabs. Crime is rampant in Guayaquil and it is worth noting before you spend some time there. Just be street smart and don't wear excessive jewelry or carry a lot of cash. It is nothing unusual for the largest city in Ecuador, as we find that most large cities all over the world are just about the same.
