My wife and I stayed at Hotel Concordia on two separate occasions last September, for a total of nine days. We had booked one of the larger rooms with a view over the waterfront. The room we had on each occasion was clean, roomy and very comfortable. However, the hotel staff mistook our return date on the second visit and we arrived to find that our requested room had been booked out. We were forced to spend the first night in one of the tiny attic rooms which was far from ideal. For anyone over 5 feet 10 inches high, you will not be able to stand upright in the room. The bathroom and shower was little more than a cupboard, and getting into bed required climbing over the end of the bed: all rather claustrophobic Once we were back in our booked room the next day, all was OK.
Breakfasts were served outside on the terrace, which was very pleasant on the warm sunny mornings we experienced. All other meals were taken at nearby restaurants: as far as we could tell, the hotel does not provide meals other than breakfast, but this was not really a problem as there are so many restaurants to choose from throughout the old town of Trogir.
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and gave us a discount for the booking mix-up.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the Concordia, but I would advise that unless you are a midget, you avoid the top floor attic rooms. Also, as there is no lift, you will have to carry your suitcases up the narrow stairs of the 5-storey hotel.
The hotel location is very central to the old town of Trogir and it is only a short walk to ferries that go to the city of Split several times a day (a one-hour ferry ride). Other little ferries (water taxis) run regularly to nearby beaches such as Okrug Gornji.
Book a room facing the quayside to ensure a reasonable sized room.
