“Lovely old island city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

This lovely city is on an island, accessed by bridge. It has many interesting narrow streets. The day we went it was raining on and off, but we enjoyed the experience. There are some great little places to eat and drink quite cheaply. The cathedral is worth a visit.

“Gobsmacking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Right from the start Trogir is stunning! It presents a virtual kaleidoscope of old-world scenes each time you turn a corner - and there is no shortage of those.

The Village is built in the Aegean, has been around for 2300 years and exudes some real magic.

Today there is no shortage of restaurants and craft shops to satisfy the needy traveller and the place is a great base from which to explore Split and the whole of Central and Southern Dalmatia.

“Great place to visit day or night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

The old city of Trogir is a great place to visit. It's large enough to have quite a lot to see in it, but small enough so that you walk around it easily and can get to know the city well. It was mid-September so the beautiful small lanes and nice cafes and restaurants were a delight, and were not overrun by masses of people and were not too busy. The square in front of the large church and the Town Hall has some great outdoors drinking places and occasionally music and dancing. We really enjoyed the seafood on the harbour promenade, with the large yachts moored alongside, and we ate in a different restaurant there every night. Well worth visiting for a couple of days.

“Small and quaint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Traffic is a mess, so park outside the city, however the walk into town is only a few hundred metres and gives you a chace to cross the historic bridge and see the markets
