On July 11th my husband & I had the experience of eating in the Wine Vault's kitchen at the chef's table. The restaurant had been recommended to us by a few different people in addition to seeing it on Trip Advisor. The meal is definitely not cheap-it was about $200 pp without wine. Upon entering the kitchen, you have an alcove in the kitchen with the table and on each wall was notes from everyone who had eaten there. This included Anthony Bourdain & Adam Richman.
Chef Tom asks you for any preferences or allergies. And then starts to send out courses and explains each one. Basically, as long as you can eat he will send out food. We opted to have the wine paired with each course and the selections were well planned and paired well. My husband decided to attempt to break the record of 21 courses and beat it by 1. Highlights of the meal included scallop in Motovun truffle hollandaise sauce, braised snails over risotto and argentine steak over foie gras polenta.
To really enjoy the experience, you should put yourself in the Chet's very talented hands and you will not go wrong. This was one of the best meals we had while in Croatia and is up there in overall meals we have eaten in the past few years.
It's definitely worth the $$$
