Lone is a great design Hotel. It is, however, not worth a five star rating due to some very annoying hotel "features":

* The Hotel Service is extremely slow in pretty much everything. It takes up to 20 minutes for drink orders to be taken at the restaurants. Room service takes ages to get to your room. Nobody is 100% sure what the hotel regulations permit and what not.
* The whole park in front of the hotel is literally _full_ with cars. Pedestrians cannot use the sidewalks, as there are cars parked over them, one is forced to walk over the road where cars are driving through.
* Dog fee is extremely high (25 Eur per night) in comparison to pretty much every hotel in the world.
* Wi-Fi speed is by far not the best (watching internet TV is simply not possible)
* Breakfast is very spartan — always the same with a very rough selection of meals. No selection of coffees.
* The room's carpet-floors are cleaned with some strange detergent that stinks for at least 3-4 hours after the room has been made.
* The so called "wellness" is actually a joke — no whirlpools, very small saunas and little space for post-sauna relaxing (I counted only a dozen seats). Also, WHAT ARE CHILDREN doing there?

Apart from the above this is a great design-hotel at a very nice location. Worth a solid four-star rating (not five, sorry).

Hotel Lone is siutated near the lovley old town of Rovinj, The hotel is in easy walking distace of the beach, and about half an hour from Rovinj. The hotel is very modern and stylish, the accomodation was excellent with spacious well equiped rooms, that were keepted in excellent order by the staff. The food was another story, breakfast was o.k with the usual selction of cerials and hot food, the evening meal was rubbish. Their was very little choice if you did not like the dish of the day, and if you like your food plain you will go hungry. We could not work out if they did not know what the were dooing, or they were on a very tight budget, perhaps thats why ther restaraunt was less that half full! My advice is to go B&B and eat out, Sergio's Pizza in Rovinj was excellent.

I've seen it many times - the owners name their hotel "design" but it's all a bunch of nonsense. Not this one, I must say I really liked how it is all wrapped up in a cute package. The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean with great details. The staff was very polite and the breakfast had everything you could possibly wish for.

Impressed by ewerything !!! Excellent rooms with nice and pleasent bath area, roomy balcony with privacy but nice view, excellent congress center and facilities, excellent overall service.
great value for the money.
