I stayed at the Imperial on Rab in July. It's in a nice location, in its own small, wooded park. It's just a short walk ( a couple of hundred yards) into town. Our room was fine. My only complaint concerns the dining room; it reminded me of a busy day at a Butlin's holiday camp. (You have to be British to understand the meaning of this reference!) It was so busy, and for some strange reason the management found it difficult to accommodate tables for two. My wife and I gave up at our first attempt, when they wanted to seat us with two complete strangers on a table for four. Why would they want to eat with me? We returned after a drink at the bar, and the crowds had subsided. Even then it took some time to accommodate us. We enjoyed the town of Rab itself - but do not attempt the ferry crossing from Jablanac on a Saturday morning in July! We were in a line of waiting traffic for 4 hours! It was unbelievable and unforgettable!
