A beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff.fantastic food ( breakfast and evening meal) There was musical entertainment almost every evening of a high standard.
I will definitely be returning, and have recommended this hotel to friends and relatives.
It can get slightly noisy at night, but once the well insulated windows are closed and the air conditioning is on,it's really not a problem.

Room Tip: There are rooms with balconies, probably needs to be mentioned when you are booking.

The best location for a hotel on the harbor and a hotel of high class!
Extremely friendly personal and attentive possible conditions. For our car was taken care of. Valet parking but no costs. For our final departure one of the members of the staff still quickly washed our car windows. Pure hospitality!
Relaxed staff with a joke on his time. We enjoyed our stay there and will definitely come back again to Porec and Grand Hotel Palazzo ****!
We don't forget this beautiful days.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel and spa for a few days whilst in Porec last week. We`ve been to Porec many times before but never stayed here so thought we`d give it a try. Other reviews are correct in that the hotel is just what you would expect from the Hotel website in every way - rooms are of a high standard (we were lucky, we had a balcony with a stunning view), the buffet breakfasts were great (including the Prosecco!) and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There are plenty of options for eating and drinking in the hotel itself, as well as it being ideally placed to enjoy the many bars and restaurants in Porec itself at night.
The only downside for us was that our room was over the Café Del Mar (part of the hotel) which doubled as a nightclub late at night and unfortunately for us, the music, singing and general revelry went on until 4.30 am every night - which is OK if you`re there for partying but not if you want at least some sleep at nights. Presumably, rooms on the other sides of the hotel are not so noisy (the downside would be you wouldn't have the spectacular views we enjoyed). We pointed this out to the reception staff but they merely shrugged, as if to say what do you expect for this time of year? This was the only disappointment for us and we would stay here again but would be inclined to request a different room.

Room Tip: If you don't plan to party or stay awake all night, request a room away from the Café Del Mar/ni...

What a lovely hotel situated right in the heart of Porec, The only draw back to this hotel is lack of balcony's to the rooms, but apart from that its perfect. The rooms though not large are beautifully furnished, the food is second to none and to top it all the staff are so kind and attentive.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a balcony if possible

Arrived and greeted by friendly staff. fourth floor room was a nice size and well fitted out. Nice shower room and aircon very efficient (important given it was the height of summer). The hotel has good views over the bay and is well situated for the old centre of the town. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Not a lot of noise in the evening so got a good nights sleep. Next morning had breakfast on the terrace, not a great choice of hot food, and coffee was pretty dire. Most of the fruit platter was not ripe. In summary nice location, good rooms but eat out.

Room Tip: Single rooms in the new extension (which my son had) were very corridor like, doubles were much bett...

This is a luxurious hotel situated on the marina and near the town - but not expensive! It has everything from a lovely pool overlooking the marina to a room with air conditioning for those who want to cool off. Plenty of sun lounger towels and even fruit. The staff are friendly and attentive - they all spoke excellent English. We had one of the ordinary rooms but it was big, clean and beautifully decorated and quiet. I loved the 'wet room' style shower. The buffet breakfast accommodated all preferences from the weird and wonderful cold meat and cakes to English cereals, fresh fruit, bacon, scrambled egg, mushrooms and courgettes. Lots of juices, tea and coffee.

The Palazzo stands out not only for its beautiful exterior and interior but the food. Dinner was good quality but not cheap. If you want something cheaper the town has plenty of cafes and restaurants. Will certainly return again for a longer stay.

Worst Hotel in Croatia ? It would appear that those who were so enamoured with Hotel Palazzo may not have travelled extensively along the Croatian coast. This was the worst hotel room, and the worst service we have encountered in six weeks of travel around Croatia (11 different other Hotels).
The public rooms were amazing but our room (201) was full of defects (light switches, lamps, wardrobe doors, sink plug, hairdryer, and shower tray did not work), and the balcony looked out over a rusty roof and a scruffy extension. The Reception Manager was surly and uncooperative when we politely complained about the room defects and he refused to send someone to our room to check. He acted as if we were making it all up. After two days of inaction we had to embarrass them by depositing the faulty sink plug on their desk and walking off. If we could have left the whole of the hotel room there we would have done.

Breakfast was restricted unless you spoke Croatian or German as the menus were only in these two languages. Being English meant that we did not know about the optional extras such as eggs or omelettes etc etc until after we had had our last breakfast. When I asked about an English menu we were told it was 'kaput'.
