We were visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park and did not have a reservation. We checked out the local "hotels", some of which are right across the street from entrance #2, however, they were rather pricy and did not look as though they were worth the money. It is a very compact area, so it was easy to locate other opportunities.
We opted for the Knezevic Guest House. From the outside it looked so clean and well kept we went inside. We were shown the room by a very friendly receptionist and we were very pleased with what we saw. The price was approximately $50.00 US including breakfast which was served in a downstairs dining room by very nice staff.
Our room was compact, but clean, clean clean. The property is only three years old and well kept. The room was equiped with good bedside reading lights with controls within reach, two bedside tables, a small stool, hooks and small closet. The bathroom was small but with beautiful chrome fixtures and lots of hot water and clean towels. The window treatments were quite nice, the bedspread matched and the windows open for fresh air and although it is on a corner of a small street it was very quite.
In summer the back deck with chairs and umbrellas would be a lovely setting to relax and have a snack or cocktail.
It is about 2 Km from entrance #2 so it's better if you have a car. We loved this place and would recommend it highly.
