Stayed there a couple of times. Rooms are simple pension rooms, cleaniness is about ok, SAT-TV is available mostly German channels - picture quality could be improved - in our room most channels came with a disturbed picture.
The place also has a restaurant where breakfast is served. Continental style breakfast is filling and consists of bread, jam, sausages and cheese, sort an artifical orange juice and a wonderful coffee.
The major plus: the pension has a nice pool open in summer and also free car parking. Without a car you may be better staying closer to the National park as public transport seems to be very limited. By car it's about 10 mins to the north entrance of the park. About the same it's to city of Slunj northbound, where you find a cash dispenser, restaurants, shops etc. Rastoke with small waterfalls in a small canyon is also worth a short visit.
Another downside is noise coming the road outside - with closed windows not a problem, but in summer you may want to open the windows.
Price is reasonable: 42 Euros incl. breakfast. Half-litre Beer is less than 2 Euros, coffee is 1 Euro.
Meals in the restaurant are reasonable priced, however they charge you extra for side dishes.
Food quality seemed to have deteriorated since our last stay two years ago. We had a really bad meat meal - my worst restaurant experience for years. If you stick to the pizza you shouldn't be wrong, with meat dishes you may have to be a little careful. If you're going somewhere else there a lots of other places along the road.
