I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group and had read nothing but bad reviews before I went. I don't know the price paid here since it was included in the overall cost of the tour. The room was very clean and spacious by standards, with an opening window which was marvellous for cooling down the room which had twin beds. Bathroom was fine too.
The reception staff could not have been more helpful and I found the souvenir shop to be quite reasonable with their prices.
Internet was a problem as only one of the two computers were working and the hotel was fully booked for the night.
We ate one night at the hotel and the food was OK, the 2nd night we went to a nearby restaurant. Breakfast was OK too, like most hotels, nothing to rave about.

“Difficult to criticise at the price, but could be so much better!”

We stayed two nights at the Jezero hotel as part of a 10 night holiday in Slovenia/Croatia.

The Jezero is a large hotel with 200+ rooms, and is very much geared for coach parties of elderly tourists.

The rooms were basic, but comfortable, and very quiet at night.

Both the evening meal and the breakfast were very disappointing. The quality of the food was poor, and the service was very slow, with a team of waiters and waitresses drawn from the local population of surly teenagers, who seemed more interested in throwing cereal at each other than serving guests. The poor quality of the food would not have been such a problem if there were other restaurants in the area, but as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, it has a captive market and is sadly over-reliant on this.

The hotel felt like it had not seen a refurb since the mid 80s. Many of the function rooms and bars were closed off, and the large swimming pool would benefit from a lick of paint and turning up the heating a notch. The hallways and public areas smelt of cheap cleaning fluid - as found in schools and hospitals.

Positives?? The hotel was ideally located for exploring the Plitvice lakes, the bar staff were friendly and generous with their spirit measures, and room rates were very reasonable. The enormous stuffed bear in the reception area also raised a smile.

I can't help thinking that this hotel could achieve so much more if it improved its quality of food, service and public areas, and increased its prices accordingly. The hotel is in a great location and has great potential to improve.

I spent two nights here as part of a Gate1 tour, and I have no clue why we needed that second night. It's a nice hotel in a gorgeous place. Rooms are very nice, comfortable and have all the amenities, but besides the 3-hour hike through the national park, there is absolutely NOTHING to do at this hotel. The food was good, and the selections at breakfast were wide and well prepared. Also, we had a very good dinner here featuring local trout. But after dinner, there is nothing to do. Nothing going on in the hotel, and the hotel is located exactly in the middle of nowhere! The only thing to do at night was to watch tv: and the only English-language channels I could find were CNN and BBC.

“Not good value”

Not worth the money.
Just returned from a 2 night stay. The National Park is wonderful and we were lucky with perfect weather. The location is good but it is a huge formula type hotel used to hosting large functions and conferences. Trying to use the internet was a battle with other guests; the satellite TV didn't work and breakfast was uninspiring. Normally these inconveniences would not rate a mention but at the price paid, it was very bad value. There are limited choices in the area and in retrospect, staying in a private home nearby would have been better. The walks however are great.

“Hotel Jezero - well located in beautiful national park”

Two couples stayed here for one night, arriving in time to spend the afternoon hiking around the park as well as the next morning. Despite its being before 1PM, we were able to check in & put our bags in our rooms. We had requested rooms w/ balcony - which we got - but the balcony overlooked the carpark! We were in the 'red section' where it appeared only suites had balconies overlooking the park. The rooms were large with nice amenities. The reception ladies were very accommodating & helpful. Their English was excellent & they were able to help us with directions both in the park & out. The breakfast buffet was extensive & tasty. The park entrance fee is 110 kuna (over $20) per person for one day. However, if you stay at the hotel, they will stamp your ticket & you can enjoy the park the next day as well. We took advantage of the tram-bus, the electric boats & the miles of wonderful trails around the 16 lakes & countless waterfalls. Our first day was a Sunday & the park was crowded with groups, but not annoyingly so. Monday it was quieter as we were in the park by 9AM. There is so much to see & enjoy. Thankfully, this park is being well maintained in its natural state. We saw very little litter (mostly cigarette butts). We were so glad we included Plitvice National Park in our itinerary.
