Stayed here and enjoyed it on the whole.
Not up to the usual standard of hotels but clean and friendly. No lift which was a bind as I was on my own and there was no porter available to take my case to the room. Fortunately it was on the first floor!
The food was fair. You could always find something to your taste although breakfast had the same choice every day which became a little tedious.
Location is excellent . It is in the centre of Makarska on the sea front. The staff were most friendly and extremely helpful at all times.
Room was OK. There was a good sized balcony but no sun on it! Pleasant enough to sit there though with a little drink and a good book for a peaceful break from the rest of the world.
Would I stay here again ? Yes, probably.

We had a little veranda and a balcony in our room, thus enjoyed wonderful views of everything - the beautiful mountains behind us and the gorgeous water/promenade in front.
Within walking distance to many shoppes/restaurants/beach.
Did not find the hotel to be noisy. Wouldn't hesitate to reccomend!

It was a pleasure staying at hotel Biokovo, a modern and clean hotel in Makarska. The person at the reception was very nice, as well as the staff at the bar. the room was nicely decorated, with AC, minibar (useful to have a fridge to store drinks when it's hot) nice bathroom and we had a sea view. One bad point is that there was no lift, a bit of a pain when you have lots of luggage + a buggy... The breakfast room was a bit like a railway station, huge and noisy, but breakfast was good so that made up for it. the hotel is right on the promenade, facing the sea and you can park your car 200m away in a locked car park for free.
