“Jess! My kinda place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012 via mobile

This is a sympathetic restaurant with no frills. The octopus salad I had was huge. Had I known that I would have skipped the lasagne. Which was excellent. Maybe best ever - or goes par with one in Florida.

The place is above the bus station, so you need to do a bit of a search to find it. Do not expect fancy surroundings. Do expect a nice local restaurant with lots of locals and local atmosphere with good, decent down-to-earth food.

“best value restaurant in Makarska”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2011

We found the restaurant by accident but went 3 times and had excellent food, great service and well kept draught beer. We talked to the head waiter who tries to use local providers where possible even on their drinks - wines and homemade sherry. The service is laid back but sharp and for those of you who like football Luka Modric's uncle is a client. Just a really good place to sit outside and eat away from the crowded beach area. Along with the Ivo this restaurant stands out from the crowd in Makarska.

“Hidden from tourists, highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

Restaurant is located in the Vladimira Nazora street which is just above the city main bus station. This is the place where locals eat, and the friend living there recommended it to me. Prices are at least 20-30% cheaper compared to the restaurants located along the beach, but the food is at least as good as in those places. They have a daily offer menu which is a great value for money. E.g. a full meal could cost you as low as 6-7€. I ate there every day during my Labor day holiday vacation with wife and friends and we were very satisfied.
