We stayed at the Hotel Marko Polo for a few nights. It's about a 10minute walk downhill to the city. It looks like it's been recently refurbished, with rooms looking like at standard 3 star hotel. The room is a little small and the bathroom is also a tad small. But all the items in the rooms are new and very clean. They have cable TV with english-speaking channels and the airconditioning is very effective.
The buffet breakfast is pretty standard and we ended up getting dinner included in our price. The dinners are pretty bad. There are 5 mains to choose from, which appear to have been cooked well ahead of time and are not appetizing at all. The rest of the dinner is buffet, so there's a small salad bar, small dessert bar and some other mains to choose from. You'd be better off eating in the main town.
We were quite impressed with them, as on the morning of our early departure, we let them know in advance that we were checking out at 6am and they packed a comprehensive breakfast for us with bread, cheese, prosciutto/ham, mutliple jams/spreads, oranges and some packet juice.
The quality of the hotel was a lot higher than the others that I had stayed at in Croatia.
