We had three nights at Park Hotel mid August. Nadia and Anna answered all our silly questions with friendliness and patience. Anna came to our room twice to help with the wireless connection. Our room was spotlessly cleaned each day, We loved having a balcony in both rooms and spent many hours admiring the beautiful view. The breakfast each morning on the terrace was delicious and served with a smile. I had been enjoying the juicy peaches in Split so agree the fruit was not as good as it could be. Overall, a fabulous position and wonderful satff.

Maybe it was the position of the hotel or the fact that some-one brought our bags from the Hotel's own car park or the delightful breakfasts overlooking the marina or the friendly service but this was the best of the hotels that we stayed in whilst travelling around Croatia. Also, contrary to what others felt, I thought it was value for money given the location. Service was very good. We had to leave early on the last day and we were offered a packed lunch to take with us. We opted instead for a very early breakfast which caught the restaurant off guard momentarily but they soon recovered. Our room was spacious (yes Ikea like but so what) and who wants to watch TV when you've a fantastic island to explore. We wished we'd stayed for longer than we did.

Wonderful hotel right on the harbour front of an unspoiled Venetian town. Throw in the town festival and an open air concert by local super-group Giboni and you get a perfect stay.

By the way you get a suite not just a bedroom, the most helpful staff, and a superb view of the harbour and the islands beyond.

Spent a week at Hotel Park recently. In a nutshell, this hotel suffers from typical problems that plague Croatian tourism as a whole - there is simply not enough (staff and management) professionalism around, compared to some neighboring countries.
Hotel Park is perfectly located a few steps from the main square of Hvar, with a great view over the harbor. Rooms are very spacious albeit furnished sort of Ikea-style. Facilities are new, there is a complimentary WiFi Internet access, complimentary shuttle service to the ferry port, and there are some nice small touches such as availability of hotel towels to be taken to a beach. Staff is very friendly - when one asks for help.
On the other side, there are some details which a hotel of that price range simply cannot afford. For example, bath/shower amenities are not replenished at all, and after complaining the task will be done completely carelessly, so one gets three shampoos but no bath foam. And one has to complain regularly, which shows no interest to learn from past mistakes.
Second, it is hardly acceptable to consistently serve unripe fruits for breakfast in arguably one of the sunniest islands in the Mediterranean.
Third, a hotel which charges 250 to 350 € per night really should offer complimentary slippers, and have a cable TV, or at least a satellite TV unit that works - as it is, one is limited to 4 Croatian national terrestrial channels. Of course, people do not spend a lot of time in their rooms so they can do without TV, but still our overall feeling was that there are simply too many sloppy details around - for the price.
Not to be seen as too finicky - Park Hotel is a cozy place to stay in wonderful Hvar, but it is simply not worth the money.
