You'll fall in love with this hotel. It's fully of charm, large & comfortable rooms, the staff was very nice & helpful, delicious (and generous) breakfast, and a PERFECT location!
But it wasn't perfect, as their operations aren't very smooth. I don't want to "rant", as they were all pretty minor issues, but it just felt like there were a lot of small mistakes that they could work on.
Examples... they didn't have our reservation. They were quick to claim booking.com but they lost another couple's reservation while we were there too, so I'm not sure who is really to blame (but the staff was nice & eventually found us another room). Hvar seems like a very safe town, but I still didn't like that you have to leave your key in the lobby, which was unattended for most of the time we were there. Once a maid took our key out and entered our room when we had the "do not distrub" sign on. They also left our luggage unattended for a full day (we were told to leave it and they would store it shortly, but never did). Lastly, there is not wifi in every room as advertised. Again, nothing terrible, just kinda sloppy.
I still think the pros outweigh the cons, so just be prepared to go with the flow and you'll enjoy your stay.
