Just returned from Hvar. The hotel was excellent, high standard of facilities and very stylish in the rooms with a good mix of contemporary fittings in an old building. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom aswell. Breakfast is excellent with a choice of meats and cheese, fruit, yoghurts, breads and omlette was offered to us aswell. It is located in a fairly quiet side street about two minutes from the main square. The owner is a friendly bear of a man and his daughter, Nora, is also friendly with legs up to her armpits!

Booked this place after reading reviews and decided the Adriatic and Yacht club were just too expensive. Hvar is a great place, but in spite of the expensive and exclusive hotels it seems to be full of loud, drunk antipodeans.

The Villa Nora is very nice to stay in, but we didn't find the service that great. I called in advance to check the ferry times and the proprietor wasn't that helpful on the phone. He certainly didn't offer to meet us or give instructions on where the Villa was (which took a bit of time to find as entrance is just off street it is listed under). It then didn't help that the weather was awful and my partner was ill.

The room was big and comfortable and the bathroom was nice (but the rather complicated shower didn't seem to have enough pressure to utilise all the extra spouts). Breakfast was good and the location great (although off the harbourside).

It was a good stay but didn't have the "wow" factor.

What a beautiful property! Our hosts were terrific, even drove us 25 minutes to the ferry, getting up early at 6:00 a.m. to do it. Rooms are brand new, breakfast terrific and included in price. All the help were smiling and wonderful. Refrigerators in the room, stereo, TV, DVD. Bathrooms include a bidet and multi-stream shower. Very quiet rooms. Would have given it five stars but the owners are not quite through with the renovation. A few holes here and there but nothing to spoil our stay. Stayed mid-May. Paid very small price for the quality.

This beautiful old Venetian built family house has been sympathetically refurbished this year (2007) to create a lovely family run hotel with 'the personal touch'. The staff ( Tony and Robert deserve a special mention) really made our stay memorable and nothing was too much trouble. The plentiful and varied breakfast, which is included ,was served in the courtyard restaurant and cooked to order at whatever time we pleased. The rooms are spacious and airy and kept spotlessly clean daily. We had a room with a balcony at the front of the hotel, which was in the sunshine all day. Despite being one block behind the bustling main square in Hvar, the hotel was blissfully peaceful and quiet. (Apart from the church bell striking the hour!). We would certainly return to this place in the future.
