What a great find this was, Ana was just delightful and very freindly and helpful.
We caught the ferry from Split to Hvar and Ana was in contact by cell phone to arrange pickup from ferry. All very easy.
Apartments very clean and location just perfect. Short walk into old town.

Had a fabulous Seafood Rissoto at Bounty's Restaurant on waterfront.
Market about 3 minute walk away.

Ana was the friendliest, most charming host we met on our 3 week trip through Eastern Europe. She picked us up when we arrived and showed us to our wonderful 1 bedroom apartment. She was all smiles the whole time we were there and quick to offer tips and helpful recommendations. The apartment was spacious with a large kitchen and living room area. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishes and a small fridge. The balcony was great with a excellent view of the water. Comfortable bed and small but adequate bathroom. Nice shower and good pressure. Everything was spotless and clean.

It is a short 5 minute walk to the town. Here is the fastest route - turn left from the house and walk down to the fork in the road. Turn right and go down until the road starts to veer right. Go straight down the dirt road instead and look for the path to the stairs on the left leading down to the water. You'll go down and come out right next to the restaurants on the bay.

I highly recommend renting a scooter to tour around the island. They run about 250 HRK per day. Take the lower main road over to Stari Grad but on the way back, take the northern smaller road for great views of the island.

I found these apartments through Trip Advisor and was able to book an overnight stay the day before (but I don't advise doing the same - Hvar sells out quickly). Ana, the owner and host, was absolutely wonderful. She met us at the ferry upon arrival and had great recommendations on where to go. The location is good, the apartment we stayed in was not amazing, but it was certainly comfortable and clean. It had a bedroom, bath w shower, living room and balcony. I believe it also may have had a kitchen, but since I wasn't using it... On our last day, Ana helped us out by letting us spend the day walking around town and then was nice enough to let us leave our luggage at the apartments, which she then brought to us at the ferry! Cash only, like many places in Croatia

I stayed here for a week in September on the basis of the reviews on this site. Ana picked us up from the port 20km away and was extremely helpful for the duration of our stay.

The apartment was spacios with a brilliant view of the bay. We had planned to stay 2 nights and ended up staying for a week. They make their own wine, brandy and olive oil and have a great knowledge of the area.

It is very close to the beach, a short stroll to the center and a great place to stay in Hvar. Compared to some of the overpriced hotels in the area it is a real hidden gem so book ahead.
