“Incredible view and lovely owner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2010

This place was fantastic. The view from our balcony was amazing. The room was large and clean. There was a communal fridge provided as well which came in handy. The free wifi was fast and reliable. We were picked up and dropped off to the town centre of Hvar by the owner for no extra charge. He was lovely and very helpful providing a map and tips on what to see. And his dog is gorgeous! Although it is a 10-15 min walk to central Hvar this is the place to stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights in mid September. When arriving in Hvar on the early morning ferry the owner, Petricic, came to pick us up from the town centre and took us back to our room which he let us check in early to. The view from our balcony was so wonderful and the room was lovely. Petricic was a brilliant host throughout giving us great advice on where to go swimming nearby he also let us stay a few hours extra on the day we left because our ferry didnt leave till the afternoon. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Hvar. The one very minor downside that may be a problem for elderly people - this place is a 15 minute walk out of Hvar town and the walk is bit steep in parts. For my friend and I this was perfect because we didnt want to be in the buzz of Hvar centre the whole time.

We stayed at Pansion Petricic in mid July 2010 for 5 nights.
There 4 of us, 2 couples. We stayed in Room number 5 it has 2 double rooms a bathroom to share with a kitchen and living area which goes out onto the balcony where you will be welcomed by the most amazing view.I seriously reckon it is the best view in Hvar, you over look the ocean and PaKleni Islands.

It is Probably a 5 min Walk down to the beach in front and bout a 10-12 min walk into town. There are loads of little coves which are quite that are within short walking distance.

Mr Petricic was a very Welcoming and Helpful host.He advised on what were the best beaches, Quite or Busy.He arranged for us a boat hire which was cheaper than in town and we got picked up and dropped off back at the apartements.Would really recommend hiring a boat and cruising round the islands for the day.

All in All a great stay a beautiful Island with a Friaendly helpful host, Will definately be returning To Pansioin Petricic soon.

Wonderful place with the most amazing views of the pallekini islands. Beautiful apartments with bathroom kitchen and balcony. Mr Petricic is really nice and will pick you up from Hvar town upon arrival. The bear dog (belgian alsation) is really nice. Honestly though this reallt is a brilliant place and stay here quick before the prices go up.

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful week's stay at Pansion Petricic in Hvar. This is not a luxury property (you get what you pay for) but the rooms are en suite and everything is clean and tidy, and simply furnished. There is no air conditioning, but rooms do have a very effective (and practically silent) ceiling fan, which did a really good job of kepping us cool. The views from the balcony are simply stunning and worth the price in itself. It was particularly good to have the use of a shared kitchen. The nearest supermarket is literally two minutes away and stocks pretty much everything you could want.

Mr Petricic is a charming host and gave us many good tips on things to see and beaches to visit. You will also get to meet Arix, the resident Belgian Shepherd dog, who is a real gentle giant and extremely friendly and well-behaved with guests.

Other reviews have bemoaned the ten minute walk into the centre of Hvar Town. Well, so what! Ten minutes is nothing, even in the heat of a Croatian September, and it's actually a lovely stroll along the shoreline, or (if you prefer) through the old town. You also get to see all the pomegranates, figs, oranges and limes growing in the wild and in people's gardens, and to meet the inhabitants of the town rather than hang around with the flashy, moneyed types who frequent the high-end establishments around the harbour.

In short, this is an amazing place to stay for the money, run by a host who is extremely knowledgable about the town and the island, and we can't wait to go back!

This is a great place to stay. Zivko Petricic is a great host. He is friendly and very knowledgable about the island and things to do around the islands. He knows where the secluded spots are and was great giving directions to them.
The view of the islands from the balconies is great. The shared kitchen is adequate for cooking meals and sitting on the balcony.
As mentioned in the other review, the drawback is the distance from town, but its a pleasant walk, especially along the water.
