Although Hvar is almost deserted in November with most of the restaurants and even the fortress up the hill are closed, we really enjoyed our stay here from the ferry ride from Split to Starri Grad , the view from our room's balcony and the serene surroundings. The owner, Mariya answered our email promptly and her husband Miro, picked us at the Starri Grad ferry terminal .
We were given welcome drinks together with all the infos about Hvar. It was almost a deserted town with most of the shops are closed and there were very few visitors, we finished out walk around the town in 3 hours and spent most of our time in our room's balcony which has a partial sea view. Our room on the second floor is simple , a bit dated furniture , yet its spacious, clean and have all the amenities needed minus a TV. Its a beautiful town that you can spend days enjoying the serenity of this island without doing anything and no wonder it is so popular even among the locals. Eating in restaurant here is quite pricy and the common kitchen in this accommodation become handy should you decide not to have your meals outside.
The location is also a plus factor as its only 5 minutes walk bus station, ferry terminal , market and the old town. Mariya and Miro will show you the fastest route take.
