We stayed for one week all inclusive at the Hotel Epidurus, Cavtat in Sept 2007. Cavtat is just a 5 minute taxi ride from the Hotel (we paid £34 for a prebooked return trip but later found that the hotel could book taxis for around £18 return). Our room was at the front of the Hotel, so no sea view. It was pretty small but adequate for our needs. The decor however could use some updating as the room was quite shabby. The hotel food is plentiful and on the whole pretty good although could generally do with being hotter. We found the best selections to be meat and fish from the grill, where the food was cooked fresh instead of being left to stand on the buffet. There was always a good selection, especially at breakfast time with cereals, continental and cooked varieties on offer. Wines, both red and white, both perfectly drinkable, along with beer are served at lunch and dinner. On the whole we found the Hotel staff along with all the staff we encountered in the town to be very friendly and helpful. Cavtat itself is a really pretty town which in our opinion, the photos we’d seen on the internet did not do justice to. The planes coming into land at the nearby airport are by no means too noisy or too frequent. It well worth visiting some of the restaurants in the town which serve mainly very good value fish dishes and pizzas. We’d definitely consider a return visit to Cavtat in the future.
