You have everything there to have a perfect rest: clean sea, wonderful landscapes, very friendly staff of the hotel, good service, very tasty meal and a lot of distractions for you and your children. I stayed twice at this hotel and I plan to be back again :)

We headed over to Brac with our car by ferry and drove to the hotel. It was an easy location to find.
The staff were very polite and helpful upon check-in providing us with all the details on what we needed – what food was included, amenities, Wi-Fi access, etc.

We made our way to the top floor of the hotel and into our room overlooking the beautiful outdoor salt-water pool and, a few steps beyond that, the glimmering waters of the Adriatic Sea.

Comfy beds, great shower, and phenomenal views were all pluses in my book. The air-conditioning was a little weak for the exceptionally sunny weather we struck gold with during our stay, and the Wi-Fi signal did not extent into our room all that well. This did not disappoint us since we had made a pact for limited Internet usage while on vacation in Brac.
Our full board package included a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes, we over-ate. The food was pretty darn good for buffet style and saying no to that plate of dessert each time was tough on the willpower.

Our kids’ favourite part of the hotel was tucked away in a corner, open from 5pm each evening – a bowling alley!

The hotel features an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and a children’s pool.

Each night the hotel offered entertainment from Broadway sing-alongs to quiz nights.

Just outside the hotel grounds we found beach restaurants, a delightful shaded promenade lined with swaying trees, several playgrounds, and even trampolines for hire. The hotel location was perfect. You can read more and see all our pictures on our blog.

Dear Travel_with_Bender,

thank you for your extensive review and for giving us such a high rate. We appreciate all your comments, and we are happy to see you enjoyed your stay with us. We are very proud of our staff and food, so it is nice to hear you loved it. We agree with you, our location really is superb and that is why we do our best to align with it in all aspects of our service.

We apologize for the inconveniences with the wi-fi, it can get a bit slow from time to time, due to the size of the hotel. We are doing our best to improve the system. Nevertheless, your family vacation pact is worth respect.

It would be our honor to have you again with us.
Thank you for choosing Bluesun hotel Elaphusa.

Kind regards,
Vinko Martinic

Hotel was great, rooms had plenty of storage space, nice bathroom, and was very clean. The room had a wooden floor, which made a pleasant change from the marble common in many Med hotels. Our room was on the back of the hotel so only had a Juliette balcony, with a view of the mountains, but ok. We were half-board, breakfast, and evening meals were good, plenty of choice, and well presented and cooked.
The hotel is set back just from the shore, we were a 10 minute walk to the famed Zlatni Rat beach,(pebbled) well worth a visit, also a 15 minute walk into Bol along a pine tree lined esplanade. There are several bars near the hotel, set amongst pines, right on the beach which were really nice to sit at. The outside pool area was well laid out, with a salt-water pool, we had no problem getting a sun-bed, but we went out of the school holidays.
Staff were all friendly, polite, and helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear only have Juliette Balconies, and do not get the sun in the afternoon.

We spent one week in this hotel during our summer vacation. The hotel is nice and the food is great. People from front desk were always willing to help.
The water in the simming pool had salt water. Some pepole love that. I'm not, but it's a matter of taste. The beach instead is not that great.
If you go by car I wold say that Makarska is a nice place to visit, not very far away from Bol.

The Elaphusa leaves a nice impression after the first days I spent there. The staff are nice and friendly, helpful if you have a problem. The hotel itself is clean on the first look. Everything gets taken care of, someone is always cleaning the floor. Maybe a bit too much if you ask me.
The room has its flaws. I had a room facing the main entrance. This is the first problem. When there are arrivals, it can get pretty noisy, especially in the night. So try to avoid those rooms. In detail the rooms are pretty dirty. Dust on the floor, I found an old pill between my beds and the style of the bathroom is kind of strange. everything has edges and you are afraid to cut yourself.
Apart from that, the hotel offers a lot. Wellness programs, animation team and even an interactive golf course.
The food is very good, but repeats itself after a few days. The staff there are nice, but always in a hurry, as the hotel is sometimes very crowded and busy. So the restaurant can seem more like a busy train station. Not good if you want to have a nice and calm evening meal.
The location is great. In the middle of pine woods, right next to the beach and about 15 minutes walking distance to the center of Bol.

Room Tip: Not near the main entrance

Dear Mattheo_MD,

thank you for an extensive review. We greatly appreciate your compliments on our staff, cleaning service, animation team and hotel's facilities, such as wellness. We highly value your opinion, and therefore, we thank you for mentioning the aspects of your vacation, that were not so satisfying.

Firstly, we would like to extend our apologies for the room. As you have noticed, we have truly high standards when it comes to cleanliness, but we were clearly not up to standards at that occasion, which is not acceptable. We hope that that didn't affect your overall holiday experience. Regarding the noise, we would love if you had informed us about your dissatisfaction right on the spot, and we would have changed it immediately.

Thank you for all your observations and suggestions, we will certainly consider them.

We hope that you will have the opportunity to visit us again, you will be more than welcome.

Best regards,

Visited Croatia for the first time with two friends, and were very impressed with Bol and the hotel!! We were there a week before the season started so it wasn't too busy. The rooms were large and clean with gorgeous views. We had B&B, the good was good quality and fresh. Enough so that we made sandwiches for lunch. The beach was a short walk, the pebbled beach was actually a blessing, however don't forget your wetsuit shoes. The spa was very relaxing. All in all this was the perfect relaxing holiday.
