We stayed at the hotel Tamariz for 3 nights and reallly hated!
In the beach instead of sand there were stones and it really hurted the feet.
The beach was no more than 7 mts to the sea. The hotel was really expensive and had no private chairs in the poor and little beach.

Very clean, modern, spacious with sea views from every room. Friendly staff that speaks English enough to communicate. Only negatives: expensive ($180/night) and the breakfast/dinner buffet isn't so great. You're better off ordering your favorite meal, or go to another restaurant on the strip. You can also walk to the corner market and purchase pastries and other food items and save a lot of money.

The Tamaris has a great beachside location at the peaceful end of Baska and only a 5 minute walk from the center. Food is good. You can book half board or just eat occasionally in the restaurant. The rooms or apartments are furnished to a very high standard. Only basic dishes supplied in apartment and no tea or coffee pot but everthing else more than makes up for this. Be sure to book a sea view to enjoy the location fully. Staff are really helpful. Excellent value for money.

The Hotel Tamaris is probably the best offer you can find in Baska. It is located at the left end of the beach, close to the Squatina Diving Centre and about a 5min walk along the promenade to the centre. I stayed in one of the 'Mansarda' rooms, which only has got a Velux roof window, but is cheaper than the other rooms.
The hotel is very new and very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The Tamaris is more to the upper end of the 3*, everything is well fitted and of a good quality standard. It's a lot smaller than the other complexes in Baska, so feels more personal.
I had half board and they have a buffet for dinner with salads, two main courses (meat and fish) and dessert. I'm vegetarian, so they asked me what I would like cooked instead and got once a fantastic risotto and the other time a nice pasta dish. The breakfast is standard selection for a 3* hotel.
There is a nice terrace, so you can eat outside as well. the hotel is directly by the sea, so you have a beautiful view of the bay of Baska. The sun lounges on the beeach in front of the hotel don't belong to the hotel, so you have to pay extra. There is free car parking.
