We very much enjoyed our stay at The Bivou. I don't think I will enjoy Shuhe / Lijiang as much without The Bivou. The room is clean and comfortable, and the manager Hwee Ling is extremely helpful, she is willing to run the extra mile for any guest. I have stayed at the Bayan Tree, Lijiang 2 years ago, it was alright but it didn't have the cozy feeling that The Bivou offers, plus in my opinion, the Banyan Tree is a bit of a run down now.
For our biking trip, we bike over to Chine Chine to enjoy some local ham which was intersting, taste a bit like the mixture of Parma and Iberico ham. I miss the homemade cereal that The Bivou offers in the morrning ... wish I am still there .... Thank you, Hwee Ling, please keep up the marvelous job!
