“Nice Chinese Version of Western Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

If you've been in China awhile, you'll be pleased with this Western food. If you are new to China, it's not like home. We had the Yak steak, Yak hamburger, cheese pizza, and a side of bacon (my daughter's choice). The pizza was the best item, but the steak and the hamburger were acceptable. I'll recommend the Yak just to say you did. I'm personally not a big fan of the Chinese version of bacon, but it was consistent with everywhere else.

“decent food but very disappointing mojito”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

had there yak steak , it's tender and juicy , with a good flavor , the fried mushroom came as side was very tasty , highly recommened .their salads were just average . got a mojito , it's took them 25 minutes to make it while there were only two tables , and the other table was not drinking . the mojito tastes like some weird syrup mixed with mint , and had no taste of any alcohol , and it's severed worm without any ice .

“Good yak steak”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013 via mobile

Nice ambience overlooking busy central pedestrian thoroughfare. Yak steak was recommended. Two of us ordered it and both liked it. Two others ordered hamburgers, we thought identical. One was good the other totally different (and not good). We returned it and explained our confusion. Possibly an honest misunderstanding. Possibly not. The difference in quality was too big for us to be rushing back.

“The home of yak steak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Though never having eaten yak before and not being able to distinguish it particularly from beef, who knows? It was well cooked, smoky and tasty and served in a great little dining room with a well-stocked bar and a coal fire that gave the place a cosy vibe. Definitely worth a visit.

“Good food”

Good 'backpacker' food of pizza, pasta and of course Yak and pretty prompt service. Clean squat toilet upstairs.
